  1. That is a grey interior. The leather is called Sussex leather. It is not ivory in colour. My previous s3 450h (2006 model) had this interior and the exterior colour was Nordic Blue, a lighter colour that was only available on the 450h version on the s3 GS (the problem with this exterior colour is most people refer to it as Silver, including the DVLA, but it most certainly isn't!). I believe the ivory/cream leather interiors had a more natural lighter looking coloured 'wood' trim. The black leather interiors had what I would deem a 'cherry' red trim and the grey leather had a dark 'grey' trim as your picture shows.
  2. I agree. Just curious why the Autotrader full history check states this.
  3. You are correct. ACC was only an option on the pre-facelift 450h Premier model but became standard on the 450h Premier and F Sport face-lift cars. Luxury trim was dropped for the 450h face-lift models.
  4. Why does the Autotrader full history check state there is a recorded colour change? Has it always been this colour?
  5. There is the legal aspect as well. This is taken from https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/ FAQs 🚗 Are LED car bulbs legal? LED bulbs are road legal in the UK only if your vehicle's headlights were purpose built for LED's. Upgrading the technology from Halogen to LED is technically not road legal as they cannot be E-marked.
  6. I have a pre facelift F Sport Colin and I agree about aluminium trim inserts and pedals. However I don't agree that it has different seats. The passenger seat is the same as in the Luxury model and the drivers is the same as the one in the Premier model but without the ability for rear passengers to move it. Also, the steering wheel is the same design and shape as the other models except for a F Sport badge inserted into the base. Also, someone looking at a facelift F Sport would see an LFA type dash whereas the pre facelift cars have the same dash as the other trims.
  7. As you haven't replied @bladest I am going to assume from your post that you are looking at a mk4 car. I only asked the above question as the mk3 cars had a 'Sport' trim which I have seen sellers incorrectly advertise as a F Sport. In the UK the mk4 cars come in three trim levels, Luxury, F Sport and Premier (although these may not be the same in the rest of the world!). As Steven @Steven Lockey has said to you they are the same car just with a different amount of 'toys'. The engine, gearbox and hybrid system are identical in all trim levels. The Luxury spec is the 'base' spec. The F Sport has extra equipment as standard plus AVS (Adaptive Variable Suspension) and a different body kit whilst the Premier had further standard equipment like ML. Also, whilst the F Sport and Premier cars has AVS the 450h F Sport additionally benefits from four wheel steering. The link below is a for the UK launch of mk4gs which may interest you. https://media.lexus.co.uk/2012/02/all-new-lexus-gs-from-32995/ With regards to reliability, the mk4 car appears to be extremely reliable but some forum members have reported that they have had the shock absorbers replaced earlier than expected. My car has less than 44,000 on the clock and the rear shocks were replaced at less than 30k under warranty. Further, any parts that need replacing may not be cheap as there are very little aftermarket products available. As regards the hybrid battery, I personally has not come across any articles or correspondence that would indicate there is a problem with these in the mk4 cars. Which one is better? The only person who can answer that is you and as Mark @200h says you need to try a F Sport against the other models.
  8. The interior of the facelift F sport may be different but the interior of the pre facelift mk4 cars is the same as the other trim levels.
  9. Look like they are magnetic advertising stickers so seller was possibly using the car for their business. Something to do with cycling I would guess! Seller states in advert the car was imported to Guernsey (meaning exported from UK) 18 months ago and the final two pictures show the car with the body stickers removed and registered on Guernsey plates. Is that an ISF parked next to it in the final picture or a Mk2 IS F Sport?
  10. If they are from a Series 3 GS, same as your 450h, they will fit no problem and will take the tpms sensors. I did this myself when I owned a S3 450h as I found a refurbished set of S3 GS 300/430 alloys at a cheaper price than it would have cost me to refurbish the original alloys.
  11. Lovely car. Facelift GS 450h are rare especially Premier spec with 19" wheel upgrade. Enjoy.
  12. Its an inferior warranty and it seems the extended warranty is no longer available
  13. It appears that the Relax warranty is not as comprehensive as the extended warranty. Fewer parts and components seem to be covered. For example shock absorbers are covered under the extended but not the Relax.
  14. ????? OP @Apoc101 was just asking what the difference is between non ML and ML music system. I'm confused why you think that is being silly. Unfortunately I can't help OP as both my GS's have had ML but I am really surprised by your post.
  15. That looks a fantastic car Robert. Facelift S4 GS450h are a rare car. With regard to the tyres are you saying the tyre fitter said that the rears have been run over inflated in the past? And that now they are run at the correct pressure, because the central tread has worn faster due to the over inflation, the tyres are now just running with the inner and outer edges in contact with the road? I have no experience of this but on my previous S3 450h the Dunlop sportmaxx 2 tyres on the rear were 'stepping' (also termed 'sawtooth') and were as a result vey noisy. I replaced them with Michelin CC's and it was much quieter. I would guess that any tyre that hasn't worn evenly across the tread width will be subject to louder running noises. In your case it may be the exaggerated sound of the air running through the centre part of the tyre because the tread is lower. It's similar, I think, to the way that you hear the tyre roar generated by big 4x4's fitted with huge off road tyres when they travel on tarmacked roads because of the air rushing through the large gaps in the tread pattern. It is also worth noting that Bridgestone tyres are in general not noted for being a quiet tyre. Also you say yourself that the car was standing for a long time so this might have an effect on the tyres condition.
  16. In my case it was the dealership owner (non Lexus though) and it came on a transporter.
  17. What happens when you factor in the VED charge between the 250 and 300h? It's £340 pa for the 250 and either £10 or £20 pa for the 300h depending on trim level. This difference to most(?) buyers might be a big consideration?
  18. To get the "right" Lexus I want I know I do have to travel. My last GS was the right colour and trim spec so I had to travel to get it. Delivery options weren't even mentioned! I have, unfortunately, found that most of the (mainly Lexus) cars I would be interested purchasing in are in the south of the UK so I would still have to travel if I want to purchase one. This is were I think that dealers bringing the car to you is a good thing.
  19. I agree. I would have lost £150 but as I said if you have to travel yourself you may incur costs. I bought my last GS from a dealer just outside Exeter and, as I live in (what I am told is) the most north westerly town in England, that was not a journey that would have been easily done in one day so an over night stay was needed.
  20. I appreciate that not all dealers operate the same but this is not my experience. I bought my current car this way. Put a refundable £500.00 deposit down and the dealer brought the car to my house. It was only after a check over and test drive to confirm I was happy with the purchase that I then paid for it. If I found it was not for me they would have taken the car away and refunded my deposit. The only thing I would have been out of pocket from if the delivery charge but the way I see it if you have to travel a distance to see a car you will incur costs yourself.
  21. The larger wheels fitted to all the other GS models (250, 300h and 450h) trim levels will fit your car no problem. Your car runs 17" wheels fitted with 225/50R17 tyres. The Luxury and Premier trim cars are fitted with 8X18" wheels and 235/45R18 tyres. The F Sport has a staggered fitment with the fronts being 8X19" with 235/40R19 tyres and the rears being 9X19" with 265/35R19 tyres. However, if you do decide to change you might find it easier going down the aftermarket route as trying to find second hand MK4 GS alloys is very difficult (I've been looking for months as I'm wanting a second set for my winter tyres) and for the price Lexus charge for one new wheel you could get a set four aftermarket ones.
  22. This link gives the technical specification for the GS 300h and 450h https://media.lexus.co.uk/wp-content/files_mf/1517227373180125MGSTechnicalSpecifications.pdf And this one gives the equipment list for the series 4 facelift cars https://media.lexus.co.uk/wp-content/files_mf/1517227553180125GSEquipmentList.pdf
