Welcome Paul, as I have already said, great to see the car in the hands of a petrol head. I bet the Ro80 ownership was interesting to say the least................ A few words of caution, there are members on here that will try and bring you over to the dark side, enticing you with words like "Silver" and "Carbon", they will hypnotise you with arguments about Unleaded and Super Unleaded fuels..........................and if all this fails they will ply you with Coffee and Cake, you must stay away from these people who go by the names of @Flytvr and @Big Rat and their cohorts. No doubt they will emerge soon.............................

Suffered with the same problem on my ISf, on a trip to Andorra it drove me mad at times, never came up with a solution though.

The GSF final gear ratio is 40mph per 1000rpm, it revs to approx. 7000rpm so it pretty obvious it wont pull peak revs in 8th gear, or 7th for that matter, you can only max out the car in 6th.

When I had my exhaust replaced they removed the tips intact without removing anything, I didn't see anything you couldn't get at and why would you need to go through the boot floor!!!!!, it was 3, 13mm bolts if I remember correctly

Modern technology, its great, I was shocked to see 34.3mpg from mine on a run up North, steady 70 mph apart from roadworks, the ISF only achieved 30mpg once.

Never been, its on the bucket list though, need to get my arse in gear and start ticking a few more off the list.

That is a coincidence, although I did see a few of them all together in Wales last month, all being washed at the same time.......really weird................. I left before they noticed me.

But how is anyone going to do it, unless they can: A. Give their car to someone else to drive while they photograph it....................AT SPEED.................... B. Ask someone to offer their time and drive their car while said member takes photos. By the way, if someone wants to photograph my car while I travel at speed, be my guest........................😊

My thoughts as well, I struggle to believe you are bored by cars at the age of 30, or is that because they are not as involving as they were when I was younger, we could maintain them, repair them, I have spent a weekend under a Lotus Cortina changing a rear axle and consequently I had a bond with that car, however if you drop your car off at the dealership for service(as I do) and take it to the local car wash to have it cleaned then I suppose you will look at your car as "white goods" like a washing machine, if this is the case then its a shame..................

With the amount of crap I carry in my boot I should feel a difference when it is all removed, I don't, the car is just as fast and handles exactly the same, to me anyway.

I stopped listening to motoring journalists a long time ago, its an opinion from a person I don't know, his experience,driving talent,mechanical knowledge in a lot of cases are unknown, some have other agendas.............. I drive the car and form my own opinion and trust it.

I don't know, if they have sold around 700 Rcf models then it seems about right, they are expecting to sell an extra 50% as limited edition models, my figure were direct from Lexus and Lexus UK so I trust them.

As of 27 April 2018, there were 66 Gsf sold in he UK 17 of those are the Azure Blue model, I asked for this information directly from Lexus UK, as a side note only 200 were sold in North America, that makes it a very rare car over there.
