  1. Bluesman You jest, right, its still for sale. DD Well if he sells car parts then he fullfils one of the 2 parts/elemants which make up the principle of 'supply & demand', actually I am real hog at it it cause I also have an LS to fit it on Bluesman There was one on last week he wanted £45 DD I paid £50 & very, very glad to get it, I hope he makes money out of having the right thing for the 'needy', such as I was till I dealt with him, wheels & cars go hand in glove so to speak.....err metaphoricaly
  2. Thanks, i just checked without spaces, now they say "service unavailable for maintainance" it also says its a beta so the hiccups will be around for while I guess
  3. you jest, right? DD He was not jesting, I bought it yesterday & glad to get it, i had no spare.
  4. I'll just update the DVLA MOT check, I just typed in my own number & below is what DVLA said abot that/it: " Vehicle details could not be found as it has not been possible to locate the vehicle details, your enquiry cannot proceed and has been cancelled. If you want to check the vehicle record held by DVLA"
  5. Oh yes I see that now, also noted his reason for sale, dogs, I got this LS in 2011 & until last sept 23rd it had dome 50k running this dog around from London to her excercise areas,
  6. Check its MOT history out. Loads of advisories, some fails. How? I just checked DVLA with the number & this is what comes up: "No vehicle that matched the data you entered could be found."-
  7. What the add for that car lacks >if I were looking for one< is that there is no mention of how many owners & no mention at all of services or service history, the later being of utmost importance, although the mileage is low so thats good.
  8. I think folks need to be a bit carefull when buying ferodo, I came across this advertising 'ferodo' pads for my model 400 but they are not ferodo 'premium' pads & have no idea if non premium have the same squealing probs as most others. http://www.mister-auto.co.uk/en/brake-pads/ferodo-fdb1554_g900005_a062FDB1554.html
  9. as i said before ferodo premium are the answer to aftermarket pads, i did look for those posts on here after i posted on them (after squealing aftermarket pads), someone else changed their aftermarket pads to the ferodo premium option and found them silent, but, those posts were a couple of years ago or more & I cant find them anymore, i know there were a few posters on here then who had tried other pads of numerous kinds & all had had the squealing prob.....
  10. Yea thats very little mileage & doubtful if it would pay its way ever, still, theres the great grandkids to think off, with that mileage it will be going on for them & still be luxury car minus TV & back scratcher
  11. Lovely looking car iside & out, if i were on wirrel though my first trip would be opposite direction to s wales & proffes for another lpg conversion, then straight up to scotland for around the same or less price as wirrel to scotland
  12. Its always best to add a short vid clip with narration on this sort of post, there might well be plenty posters out there who have had the same prob and might be able to contribute to the replies if they saw things they recognised visualy but not in wiring & so dont post at all.Lets face most makes and models of cars have all kinds of 'gubbins'is' all over the place
  13. I dont understand those ID numbers & letters on that best parts site, anyone explain? this photo is what my 1995 Aug reg 400 has
  14. Do they still stock them, I find real difficulties bordering on impossible to get indi spares 'these days'.
  15. so have decided to splash the cash on my current one. Wise decision IMO, by the way did you notice there is an LS 400 on pentonville prison staff driveway on that photo you posted?
  16. Lockeyboy I've gone for these with the mintex pads dendonc OK can you us (me anyway) have some feedback on them ie if they are noisy at all, thnaks
  17. Sorry, thought you meant these guys http://jemlexus.co.uk/ Lots of JEM/Jem related businesses on that stretch DENDONC No, I said 'jemca' & their workshop etc are in Carlisle Rd, never heard of any lexus anything in the place you linked, This is the web adress on their receipt paper which I pasted in my other post: www.jemca.co.uk/lexus
  18. Cornershop Nope, I used the Lexus main dealer. I think Jemca are just down the road, and their prices were pretty much identical to the Lexus main dealer dendonc Jemca are a sales & distribution franchise of Lexus, the hyde edgware rd, so are toyota up the road at west hendon. The Hyde showroom is the sales & storage place, though years ago they did do repairs now its just full cars for sale. See the receipt below for brake hoses last year, all the mechanics at the Carlisle road fitting shop are lexus trained, its probable your 400 was taken there or maybe the toyota workshop for belt change, see receipt below, 'Jemca Lexus': ++++++++++++++ Leo Kester <XXXXXX@ler.lexus.co.uk> To: "XXXXXXXX@gmail.com" <XXXXX@gmail.com> Cc: Sal Khan <salman.khan@ler.lexus.co.uk> Reply | Reply to all | Forward | Print | Delete | Show original Hi Denis; Just to inform you that one of the hoses you order has come into stock and the other one is showing allocated to come on the 17/05/2016. 19. lockeyboy any opinions? dendonc The pads which are problem free for the LS are ferrodo premium, (apart from lexus), there is quite bit of feedback on them here so try the search as some people give feedback on others they tried (& which failed), the failure seems always to be the squealing.

  21. Are you using 'jemca' in Carlise Rd edgware? I get spares from there on the odd rare occasion
  22. I would recommend an LPG conversion >but only< by proffess of S Wales, many on here have used them and they are excellent, it makes no difference to the running, West London shell LPG cost 61p litre about 5 days ago, run it for a month or so first just make sure there are no existing issues. http://www.professautogas.co.uk
  23. ambermarine in in the extreme but in the variance during engine warm up. Me I always let the lpg kick in before i start driveing, which means its reached temprature..........hows that for a bit of useless info?....
  24. I converted 4 years ago ( i think) i was using 5/30 then & have never changed, this is the first i have ever heard anything of the sort, i have had no probs whatsoever so i will carry on with 5/30......
  25. In all honesty I can't say it feels any better than my MK4 did. Ive heard that before, it would not be a good reason to change from a 400,once a luxury car always a luxury car
