  1. I really wouldn't buy new wheels and especially not 18s. But it's entirely your choice.
  2. Odd size. But Wheel-Size.com gives 2.3 bar for 18s.
  3. So exactly a year in and apart from me changing the oil and filter yesterday, zero spend. And a fresh 12 month ticket this morning. That's a result in anyone's book
  4. I've replied to your other posts and for the other work I'd estimate about £600 all in if you use people you trust. And the 2JZ should run forever if properly maintained. Yes it's a low value car but well worth the sprucing up in my opinion. And 600 quid isn't even a decent deposit on a new car, never mind the ongoing payments, lump sum outlay or inevitable depreciation.
  5. Again, about £200ish from a body shop you trust not to pull your leg.
  6. A decent local wheel refurbishment company should be able to do these. Proper wheels off job plus shot blasted and powder coated. I pay £200 (cash) for a set but I'm oop north.
  7. I believe these are still available from the main dealer. Or they were a year or two ago for my IS300. I believe they come body coloured too. https://www.amayama.com/en/catalogs/toyota/altezza/1-wagon-right-xe10-2001-r-2951/body-and-interior-3/side-moulding-289
  8. Never been a huge Dad's Army fan but having a digital radio in the Subaru has allowed me to start listening to Radio 4 Extra again. It was Dad's Army on the way to work the other day and I laughed like a drain. "They don't like it up 'em!" And Friday night I was on the Scouts run with two 13 year olds in the car. I made a Dads Army reference and one of them spotted it straight away. There is hope.
  9. Agreed. My LS was my daily for 8 months rain or shine and I enjoyed every second. New family car has made me put it under cover for now but it still comes out as often as I can manage.
  10. It's the same one. Same part number. It's my little bit of Fast and Furious
  11. Lovely stuff. I see you have the genuine Toyota Supra positive terminal cover. Worth 10 brake at least that
  12. That's very nice. They do look very special in darker colours. Another indication of where the prices of these cars are going. I'll keep polishing mine
  13. Dodgy MOT for a dodgy car I think. That conversation we had the other day Steve, there is rising interest at the moment for particular Japanese motors. The LS being one. Unfortunately this does attract the attention of chancers.
  14. Here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353546974476?hash=item52510ab50c:g:SXEAAOSwBKhg1KqE At least it has an MOT now.
  15. They're not shy about selling older cars. It's one of the things that attracted me to Lexus, faith in their product. My IS300 was 15 years old when I bought it off Lexus Sheffield. Pretty sure Sytner BMW wouldn't put a 15 year old 3 series on their forecourt with a comprehensive 1 year warranty.
  16. Good to read how much better it feels. I had the strut bar bushes and bolts replaced the other week and even though Dave only set it up by eye the car immediately felt better. A proper alignment was obviously recommended and I took it to a local place I've used many times. They made an utter hash of it and I've had to book it in at Lexus for Monday to get it sorted.
  17. This is certainly one of the reasons they're in demand. At the other end of the scale I find there's a growing market for late 90s/early 00s motors, Japanese in particular. My 83 year old father still drives my '02 IS300 and he mentioned a young lad in another IS giving him a wave and a thumbs up the other day.
  18. I think he means a plank on the ramp? Not too familiar with the IS250 but I'm guessing from Vlad's post the sump plug is off set on the sump? Raising one side of the car slightly higher allows for a better drain if I'm understanding correctly. If you're unsure about this Rishi then I wouldn't use the plank. Rear wheel drive cars can be a little tricky to get on ramps depending on the surface. I've used ramps many times on FWD cars and I'm always happier with ramps rather than stands. But for a RWD car (I find) it's easier to jack the car up and put it on good stands.
  19. I've had a brand new Outback for about 3 weeks now and if the XV is anything like that I'm sure you'll be happy. I'm very impressed with the build, fit and finish. I'll also say that my dealer experience was much the same. Painless. Enjoyable even! And the standard safety kit plus the Eyesight system is astonishing. We'll compare notes come winter
  20. Lovely stuff Zak. Nearly as nice as mine Now I've seen the pictures I'm pretty sure I remember the ad. If it is the one I saw I did drool over it once or twice. Where did you manage to source the mats from?
  21. Sort of. Unfortunately the ones listed on LPD are for the MK4 with the revised bumper. And also unlikely to exist. But thanks for looking Qamar Bit of background, I've been chasing these parts since I got the LS last year. They're not available from Lexus, they're not available from Amayama, they're frequently damaged or already missing on eBay bumpers and as I've been told by numerous breakers, if they are complete they're one of the first parts to be snapped up. Blind luck or 3D printing are the only options open.
