    Yes. I can recommend Premier Products in Mansfield. I've used them for my MK2 GS, LS, 9-3 and probably others I've forgotten about.

    Not a flaw at all. The Volvo ones are fixed at the safest position. No adjustment forward, back, up or down is possible.

    Agree with John. Certainly not for comfort. It's to stop your neck snapping back in a shunt from the rear. But I am surprised it doesn't allow movement front to rear. The only cars I've ever come across designed like that are Volvos.

    See it round our way occasionally. Transit van with roof mounted cameras on each corner driving steadily up and down scanning the reg plates. They even clamped a neighbour's Prius the other day. £0 tax but untaxed if you know what I mean.

    I had to go through some quite badly flooded roads in the MKII GS to get to the NEC for the last classic show I went to. Coped very well but I knew the intake was high up. Same as the LS iirc. Wouldn't have done it in the RX though. My worry there would be the batteries. Do love a ford though. Used to seek them out with the kids in the XC90 http://www.wetroads.co.uk/index.htm I'm expecting a Subaru Outback in a couple of weeks so off to Tissington we go

    Exactly. My Halfords couldn't even manage to work out the 15%.

    Sorry, I wasn't clear. Fairy certainly has it's place if you're wanting to remove whatever protection you already have eg starting again. And re: the SRP. I use it fairly frequently but there is a knack. I just didn't imagine two 11 year olds would have that knack!

    There were a couple of young lads on our road the other weekend offering to wash and wax cars for a bit of pocket money. I had the Honda at home and the paintwork is not the best anyway so I said for them to do mine when they had finished a neighbour's. Then I spotted the Autoglym SRP and said they could leave out the "wax" And then I asked what shampoo they were using. "Just Fairy." Actually, no thanks Fair play to them though.

    Have to say I have the same opinion of the Halfords around me. Looks like Phil has a good one.

    Great looking car. Congratulations If you start using it regularly keep an eye on the PAS pump and alternator. They were just about the only bits I had to replace when I got my 62k LS 400 late last year.

    Yes but is the glass a different shape or fitting between the 3 and the 4?

    My passenger side one is just fine (not sure it auto dims though, if it's supposed to) but the driver's side has a growing bloom from the bottom left corner. It does need replacing. Unlikely I'll find just the glass but if I can find the entire assembly with decent glass and at a reasonable price I'll be happy.

    My granddad never had to take a test and as far as I'm aware never had a formal licence. He learned to drive in the army and quickly moved on to armoured cars. In a way, you could say Europe had a hand in that too...

    Would anyone happen to know if the mirror glass is the same shape and fitment across the run of the UCF20? What we call the MK3 and the MK4? Trying to source the glass on eBay and don't want to buy a later one if it doesn't fit. Part numbers using Amayama for reference are a little confusing. 87931-50220 for 10/94-08/96 and 08/96-07/97 and then 87931-50330 for 07/97-08/00 My LS was registered 01/97 but has a build date of 07/96
