  1. Also, the active noise control is standard on all 2021 models and after, not just Takumi. That one I'm sure of. The rear pedestrian detection, isn't than now included as standard safety kit on 2022s?
  2. I did, and I don't understand why they would do such a thing. Hence, the 😕
  3. Those cells need not kill the farmland. The Germans are installing them on high platforms and planting crops underneath that normally don't like a lot of sun. IIRC berries and the such. See here: https://www.dw.com/en/farmers-reap-double-benefits-with-solar-power-in-fields/a-58284134
  4. You don't mean Luther, do you? http://www.imcdb.org/i357650.jpg
  5. I guess it depends on your area, how much dealers are willing. We have a couple of members on here reporting edgware road lexus dipping below the 32k mark. in this thread
  6. Wasn't there some big bust a couple of years back on counterfeit toyota parts in the UAE? https://www.khaleejtimes.com/uae/fake-toyota-parts-worth-dh26m-seized-in-uae
  7. Re tyre choice, yes makes a massive difference. I didn't like the dunlops that came with it (they were on the tester too), so negotiated a swap at delivery. A softer compound makes it more refined on motorways, sadly our UK motorways are very roughly surfaced, especially the ones I use, so don't expect miracles. Tyre pressure also makes a bit of a difference. The F sport is on 19" wheels and harder suspension even in comfort mode. If you value comfort, then base, premium or Takumi. Although the latter will hit the 40k limit. Yes, I found the premium edition the sweet spot and good value for money. Some pretty good deals on carwow shy of 32k with metallic on premium edition. Re overtaking, the eCVT (not belt driven) takes some getting used to. Yes, pedal modulation definitely the way to go. Paddles or + - on gearshift not very helpful, best to let it do its thing. See this for how it works if you're a geek like me (yes I know it says RAV4, same setup p710). For me it made a difference on how I drove it when I understood the internal workings of the thing.
  8. Last one I can remember Black Panther and tons of appearances on agents of shield
  9. The weather was warmer when I did the run (first run 20C, second run 12C) and my economy has taken a hit (down 8%) in this cold weather (sub 5C weather) with the heated seats and steering. Are your inflation pressures correct? Don't forget the effect of the 19" wheels. You can see the much warmer temps and MPG for both runs here
  10. I'd be curious to hear if anyone notices any cabin noise increase at motorway speed, or drops is MPG. I can only think of those two reasons as to why Lexus aren't offering these themselves. Well perhaps also the aesthetics of them offended the designers too much 🤷‍♂️
  11. what I wouldn't give to raid that parts bin!
  12. well that explains a lot 😆 no hard feelings then, and thanks for the recommendation. Do you know of a mount I can use that links both headrest posts and has a 1/4" or 3/8" screw at the end? FYI here's my post you're missing "Only thing I would change here, is to attach it to both arms as @Boxbrownie recommends above. Remember the longer the arm the more problematic up and down movement from road imperfections become, so you're likely to exceed the ability of the camera's image stabilization to handle vibration/movement. If anyone finds an arm like that with a 1/4 or 3/8" screw mount on the end, I'd like to get a link please. "
  13. Isn't that the button right above the 3 dots you have imaged there? Is it not working?
  14. And another one that doesn't read thoroughly. I liked your post and suggestion, and cited it back to Linas as a modification to his diagram (literally the post before the condescension) and asked for a link to buy such a solution.
  15. Yes "obviously" we have a trained medical professional qualified in reading one's psyche remotely via forum posts. There's a reason one posts on forums, to inform and be informed. The discussion helps one improve on a design, which clearly I have taken in mind in my last response to Linas citing your own recommendation @Boxbrownie and asking for a link, but your last post is to say the least condescending. Dashcams ironically are the antithesis of the "it'll never happen" psyche.
  16. Supposidly no. However, the GS wasn't known to have theirs stolen either, but we already have a member on here reporting that his recently has been. If you do get a shield, please update us on how/where/cost. Thanks. You can find a full manual online, the paper one that comes with the car is a shortened version.
  17. Only thing I would change here, is to attach it to both arms as @Boxbrownie recommends above. 18. Which is why I picked a short arm, so if it does pivot around the post the whole front of the camera lens smacks into the side of the headrest. I tested that before I locked it into place. The person in that seat is dearer to me than myself and I originally mounted it on my headrest. I'm too big and block a huge view from the camera. Only two solutions were a longer arm on my side, or shorter arm, on passenger side. As we know, the longer the arm the more problematic the forces become. Perhaps a schematic will clarify
  19. The whole arm is 64mm, not sure where you're getting 200mm.
  20. Here's a sample plate of someone overtaking me on the motorway in drizzle with wipers running, so challenging for most devices. Looks like it did fairly well, does better in the clear, but worse at night. At night the speed differential needs to be much lower. Otherwise, in town at low speeds it's crystal clear but hardly challenging to most cameras.
