  1. Mine goes down even when I'm running on LPG, then every so often seems to realise that I've used hardly any petrol and jumps back up again, by about a quarter!
  2. He Almighty? I thought his first name was Bruce?
  3. I'm just going to throw this into the mix...
  4. You'll charge that 18V cordless by plugging it in the mains, right? So check the transformer is suited for 230V 50Hz; I've seen some stuff that isn't. I think some of the DeWalt stuff comes as "tool only", no battery or charger, so this wouldn't be an issue.
  5. I'd email AutoTrader to give them the heads-up, they can contact the "seller" and see for themselves.
  6. Best place to go to for fighting tickets is www.pepipoo.com
  7. I second Stav, my PIAAs have been on the car for ages.
  8. Because as soon as a nut and bolt factory churn out 13mm nuts and bolts, Alfa Romeo buy them all :P
  9. You won't get at the rear of the rear bumper unless you remove it. Not difficult though, all the bolts are pretty obvious to find. My sensors are spaced as follows:- O ----385mm---- O ---- 490mm ---- O ---- 385mm ---- O 75mm down from lower edge of chrome trim on bumper. All measurements are to CENTRE of sensor. Run cables to left of car. LPA400 instructions for IS recommend cutting off the cable grommet and stuffing it through the vent. On the GS there's a flat spot nearby which takes a 20mm (I think) holesaw nicely. If your kit doesn't have a grommet, a normal mains wiring grommet should fit nicely.
  10. I did measure up where to put the back ones ages ago, but don't know where the notes are now. You'll find that there are cutouts in the polystyrene behind the rear bumper, this is where the sensors are positioned. Note when removing the rear bumper: it looks like an upper and lower half, but it's actually all one piece! Get a big sheet of cardboard to put it down on, you don't want to scratch it on the tarmac! If the sensors are like mine, you'll need a 20mm holesaw, plus a triangular file to cut the keyway at the top (it's easier than drilling them). I should be able to email you the instructions for fitting the LPA400 (what I have) to an IS200/300, you may find it useful (except for the measurements of course!). PM if you want them.

  13. Saw the topic title, thought I'd wandered onto an osteoporosis forum! :P
  14. Didn't you used to be able to get a flat, metal-only key to keep in your wallet as a spare? I'm sure one was mentioned in the GS300 Mk.1 handbook. Try Lexus Hanley, ask for Chris Shipley (he's on here as Chris.S), kick Lexus Swindle into touch. He may be able to help.
  15. Click here Some good, some bad, some brilliant. "Flat Bosomed Girl" and "Funpark Al-Qaeda" tickled me! Got round to uploading my own ("Harold Shipman") on 1st August, get voting! :winky:
  16. A Toyota Land Cruiser Amazon VX, 4.7 litre. Can pick up an 03-plate for just under £20K. I'd have to get it gassed though - it's thirsty!
  17. Unless the bulb or LED's been pulled. Should light up when you first turn the key though, right?
  18. I play with it from time to time, get lazy and knock back to auto soon enough though!
  19. From dictionary.com:- Goods not as described, simple as. Report to eBay. Here is the link, just click on "Email us" at the bottom.
  20. Post 173 (reply to 172) tickled me.
  21. www.ultraleds.co.uk Footwell ones can be a bit of a pain, but they WILL fit. If you're going to change the red door lights, use red LEDs unless you're going to change the lenses. White ones'll be a waste as the lens will filter most of the light out! Don't bother replacing the high level brake light bulbs, the bulbs are viewed side-on so LEDs look crap in there.
  22. Depending where you are some models are available in either RWD or AWD variants. The RX400h is available in the US as FWD or AWD. The ES350 (US only) is FWD. The LS600h is AWD. Wikipedia is a good source of info in this respect.
  23. Wow. Looks like some sort of pantomime horse trick at first, until you realise that no, there isn't a bum at the top of those legs! Seeing it bounding about indoors like a deer as well, that's excellent. Wait 'til they scale them up to Star Wars AT-AT size!
  24. Justin, my bearded friend! According to the EPC, the part number for the 1UZ-FE intake manifold is 17111-50020, and fits all LS400s from December 1989 to July 1997. Looks like you're in luck!
