  1. Spearmint Rhino don't do trackdays, do they? (insert standard Carlsberg slogan here) :P

  3. The other way would be to wait until the next Backward Compatibility Update, they tend to have the latest dash as well. Unfortunately the November one came out just a touch too soon.
  4. 140mph in the Sun now, isn't it? Then, further into the article, "almost 140mph". BOGOF on a Big Mac? Collect the tokens or just one?
  5. They'll have the Autobahnpolizei on their case then, they're driving the wrong way!
  6. Welcome to the club!
  7. Wonder where they're from? Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
  8. Dammit, he's pulled the vid (and closed his account). Pity someone grabbed the footage first...
  9. Aido had the dirtiest windscreen anyway :D
  10. Welcome back! Now watch all the techie questions come flooding in from everywhere...
  11. I'm with you on this one. Get a quote for the work, take it to your mate, then take it from there. Smoking's an expensive habit, perhaps finding out how expensive will be an incentive for him to give up.
  12. I think the fuel gauge issue is due to it only measuring the tank every so often, unless there's a major change (like a fillup). Mine does it the other way, dropping even though I'm running on LPG, then realising I've used bugger all and jumping back up again. May be possible to fool the system into correcting the gauge more often, possibly using a PIC microcontroller to every so often drop or raise the reading from the tank enough to force a correction, then back again. Not looked into it though. If I had your problem though (where'd that quarter of a tank just go?) I'd definitely be getting the soldering iron out!
  13. Perhaps they didn't make a mistake introducing the diesel, just THIS diesel. They've got Toyota's entire range of engines and gearboxes to play with, surely they could just go with a different one?
  14. Aren't the games region coded though, like they were for PS and PS2? You may find that you'll be unable to play UK games on it.
  15. You may find that when the new plate goes on they've clocked up another former keeper. If they do, I'd recommend playing hell with them, because they don't have to do that (when my plate was changed the number of former keepers stayed the same).
  16. Just to throw a spanner in the works, my gauge does this too, but the other way. Even though I'm running on LPG, the petrol gauge will continue to fall gradually, but every so often it seems to "realise" that I've used next to nothing, then jump back up again. The jump is typically a quarter of a tank. Even the amber fuel warning light isn't immune to this, when the gauge jumps back up (which it will do whilst I'm on the move) the light goes back out. My guess is that it only checks and redisplays the actual capacity every so often, unless there's a big jump in the reading (in other words you've put some more in), in both cases the actual fuel level then gets displayed. In between, it's just guessing how much has gone based on the same figures your trip computer (if you have one) would use.
  17. Data should be available straight away. If it was me I'd wonder why the data's taking so long to materialise. The longer it takes, the more I'd be thinking that it's doctored data from a different car, but that's just my own opinion, and would refer to any major work on any car at any garage, anywhere. Wouldn't matter whether it's a supercharger or an LPG conversion, it's still the same. *climbs back up on fence*
  18. And asked for? A radiator hose for a Mk.1 Beetle? A starter motor for an RX400h or a Prius? A distributor cap for an IS220d? A timing belt for a 2001 Avensis VVTi? (it uses a chain) A rear wiper blade for a GS?
  19. Public sector, so no bonus for me. Even the Christmas do was paid for by the staff who went.
  20. Well if they [Halfords] can't prove you were there, they [Halfords] can't prove you were in their car park, and they [Halfords] can't prove they ticketed you. Worth just doing nothing?
  21. Seller told house raffle is illegal Woman admits illegal house raffle Need to be careful with this one!
  22. All that checking of Xmas envelopes for money takes time, you know!
  23. If they start slagging you off over there, just post a link to this topic, and everyone there can come over and judge for themselves. Hell, post the tracking number so they can check it out for themselves!
