Just took my 11 month old IS300 to Lexus Edinburgh today. Told them on the phone a few months ago about the corrosion, they said just bring it in and we'll change them. Took my word for it. I waited till I had a few things to be put right and phoned two weeks ago to book it in. No problems at all. There is no way on this earth that alloy wheels should corrode like that, if they have been treated properly. No way should anybody be expected to pay for them either. Just checking out the Lexus website for accesory prices, which were not there ! I got bored and looked at the spec's and clicked on the design tab, where I saw a link for anti-chip paint. Which reads as follows : Anti-chip paint <_< Your Lexus always looks good -- and it will maintain its showroom condition even after years of daily driving. Lexus includes a flexible layer of paint between the primer and top coat. This slightly elastic surface shrugs off damage from stones and gravel, eliminating the irritation of rust spots. <_< Now, is my March 2002 IS300 supposed to have this marvellous paint ? If so, shrugs off damage my buttocks, Attracts damage more like. Clearly, it doesn't work. I have emailed them to phone me so I can ask them all about it. If this paint is a new thing then, damn it, blast and can I have my car re-sprayed please. Cheers ................ bs

Stretched, and marked the leather in 4 places. The four corners, where the Recaro contacted the seat, strangley enough. Recaro told me that their seat is specially designed so that it does not have any pressure points ! <_< Sure !! cheers ...................... bs

I had the Recaro one. It has ruined the leather on my back seat. Get a cheap one mate, I'm using the £20 one from my wifes car now and it is fine. The Recaro one is now in the wife's Escort, doubled it's value I think. Cheers .......... bs
