    you need to get the doctors advice written down and forward it to your insurance company, if your insurance company agree with your doctors advice you will then need that in writing also. dont drive unless you have a note from your doctor and your insurance company to say you can. ive prosecuted someone before for causing a serious accident with a cast on, he hadnt spoken to anyone nor did he have anything in writing. the judge hammered him in court.

    in the late 70`s my dad came home one nite with a cortina painted in bright red with a starsky and hutch stripe down the side, my brother and i thought it was the best and coolest car in the world my mum refused to get in it so he had to sell it THE WERE THE DAYS :D

    mines going in on tuesday to get the clutch stripped and looked at due to the same problem, its an 03 model so it should have the updated clutch but it still judders every now and then, i think i have naturally adapted my driving style to minimise this problem but as soon as my wife gets in it its back with avengeance. ill let u know next week if its been sorted by the dealer, ive got my trd shifter waiting in the wings also. :winky: the dealer did change my gearbox oil 2 weeks ago but it didnt work so hopefully it will be sorted this time. if its still under warranty go back and show the dealer the problem

    i would firstly kill the idiot who ruined your car then sit back and see how you feel after that, you may find that thats all the satisfaction you need :P i always take a photot of my panels before it goes into a dealer nowadays, then f they dispute any damage i would pull out the pics which are dated, never needed it yet hope i never do. always walk round and point out any damage, they write it down on their checklist at service and its confirmed before u leave, a bit of a pain i know but its the only way to cover yourself nowadays, it also covers them for customers claims.

    looks like you need to join the gold scheme and save yourslef a packet with the possible dealer discounts available. with a bill like that you could be saving hundreds :winky: i know i did on my 20000 mile service last week

    GOOD NEWS my trd short shifter arrived today undamaged from hong kong :D BAD NEWS Lexus are looking at my gearbox and clutch next week so i wont be able to fit it and test it out for almost 2 weeks oh well ill just have to rig it up to my chair in the front room and practice

    it might be time to change my wheels, any idea how much to charge for 4 new wheels without tyres. im hoping to change them as soon as i get some new ones from Lexus so the new owner can have brand spanky clean ones. anyone interested pm me

    mine was the same this morning, spent 3 hours yesterdayusing my new waxes and polishes from the states. they have been burning heather on the moors and its all over my shiny car, all i did was get my lambswool mits out and cleaned it all off, only took a minute and its back to its best. drove up the road and guess what my neighbour decided to move all his cow s :tsktsk: t to the top field so i spent 5 minutes dodging the debris in the road. its a conspiracy im sure

    well having looked at the photos i know what you mean, it doesnt half look like the lexus logo. but like the others said they wont fit a lexus so you got me baffled. there should be a prize available for anyone with the right answer. :winky:

    they resemble the new ls430 wheels but they are not mirrored like these ones. looks like somebody somewhere was given a home stamper kit for xmas at some point.

    lexus teesside are looking at the gearbox next week they have already changed the gearbox oil but it had little effect. the car has done 10000 miles in 2 years so it should be at its best i would have thought. hopefully when they look at the gearbox they can replace or fix then when i fit my trd shifter all should be well again in the lexus household. :D ill let u know the outcome

    the new is250 is supposed to be built to the same tolerances as the ls430. according to the manager at the lexus dealer it is fantastic build quality inside and out but especially inside. this should win many customers over methinks i just hope they dont change their policy and put up a long options list. :yack:

    seriouslly mate get yoursell a TRD short shifter like i got,what a difference it makes. ← ive had one on order for some time, hopefully it will arrive soon and i can forget my notchy gearchange. :winky:

    yes i know this topic has been done to death having just read loads of old threads realiting to notchy gearboxes in 1st 2nd, mines a 2003 model and ive just started to notice that the change from 1st to 2nd is getting very notchy and clunky. im thinking of changing the gearox oil to REDLINE MT-90. they sell it in quarts, but how many bottles will i need does anyone know if ones enough or do i need two. also isnt the 2003 model supposed to have a redesigned gearbox to stop this occuring.

    any of the new volvos. the s60 d5 diesel especially, we use the s60 as our standard police pursuit car and its a great car, ours are doing 100000 miles a year and on the whole they have been trouble free.

    my cars in for its 2year service on friday and i get a choice of is200 auto or manual, i dont want to be tempted by getting an is300 or rx300 for the day, ill oly end up buying one if i do.

    2100+ VAT thats a lot of petrol ! suppose it depends on how many miles and how long your gonna keep it
