    The last time I went into red, I set the odometer, and chickened out at 40miles of town driving. On getting to the shell optimax pump, myy car greedly swallowed 66 liters of high octane optimax, setting me back a whopping £51:!: My car is still on a HIGH:yes:

    DaveEllen, You ARE right. As far as I know MY car works by pulling the stalk towards me, I then get water and about 3 wipes. I have NEVER pushed the end of the stalk. I will confirm this when I get home. What year is yours, mine is Dec 1999.

    I drive mainly in London, so generally change up immediately ie: 1st - 2nd once car starts to move, 2nd - 3rd about 25MPH 3rd - 4th 30MPH 4th - 5th 40MPH if legal However for those Street light drags: 1st - 2nd about 33MPH?

    This definately HAS to be raised with Lexus GB. We need someone to send a well written email to them, with a list of names and email addresses of everyone who has this problem. This seems to be a problem with the IS200 only, and if this is not sorted, then it could affect their sales particularly from personal buyers who might want to keep their Lexus for more than 3 years. Admin, Is it possible to setup a page where we could list our names and refer to it in the email? Matt the Boss, Do we not have enough votes to pursue this?

    Matt, When you bought your T plate, wasn't there a 1 year warranty with the car? Any ideas how much the warranty costs?

    Just out of curiosity, especially to the MOD Buffs, I was wondering how long do you intend keeping your highly customised cars? I know THE BOSS is already thinking of a Yellow Manual IS300 if Lexus GB would oblige. I might have mine for another year.
