  2. Unusual to need all 4. I think I've done 2 so far. The genuine sensors are Denso. I would use original equipment but Bosch or another decent make should be okay. Denso 89465-50120 £74 + shipping £15 Amayama £99 Euro Car parts. £247 ! Lexus Parts Direct

  4. Thats it I've caught a few glimpses of it on Eurosport, I remember many years ago they were racing at Brands Hatch, I didn't have my RCF then but do remember the thunderous sound, mind you so were the AMG's making a nice noise. Looks like a BMW has taken the lead now
  5. I have a friend who works in reception who has said he can do me a good deal on a tyre to match the cars original.
  6. Quite interesting how they ignore the facelift, which is years old now, and keep it based on the OG look. 🙂
  7. Well, I came full circle back to Lexus after looking at Volvo XC60 and 90 models, Mazda cX5 and CX60's, Kia and a few others. Volvos didn't do any engine options I wanted and lots of reports of niggling faults despite the lovely interiors. Ride quality so-so. CX5 too small for my needs, CX60 priced too high imho, as looking at year old higher spec models they were all over £40K and the interiors not up to lexus standards plus reports of issues with the over stressed turbo engine models plus way too much plastic used under the bonnet, including for the cooling and interior heating systems. Ride quality no-where near as good as the 4th gen RX models. I immediately discounted Kia as they and Hyundai both have the very same canbus vulnerability as the Lexus, Toyota, Porsche, landrover and ford cars. Bought a very nice Rx4 in the end with steel plate mods plus additional security and despite the galling insurance premium, couldn't be happier with the car. No other model yet offers the same blend of interior quality, ride quality and reliability. Performance is laughably understated by Lexus and all the same responses from reviewers saying this is no sports SUV equally laughable. It flies in sport + mode.
  8. Yes I saw that too, but the Lexus RCF number 87 is currently leading it's GT3 group
  9. Embarrassingly, it collided with the parent company Hypercar in the warmup. 🤣 Nevertheless, the Toyotas are moving towards the front quite nicely after poor qualifying positions.
  10. Car number 78 is currently racing at the Lemans 24 hours. I tried to get a picture of it but failed. Anyway good to see the car racing
  11. The rear wash-jet was my first thought but given I have no noise from the pump when engaged I'm inclined to think it's the pump. Having said that I could end up removing the rear spoiler and un-blocking or replacing the jet if the pump isn't the culprit!
  12. But this affected loads of Toyota models hence the huge financial hit. I wonder how much we're actually told? For example United Health Care own PKB being promoted via the NHS. In February in the USA they reported a data breach possibly affecting up to a third of all Americans! But no mention of the UK?
  13. Sorry to hear about the RX - must have done quite a bit of damage to them too? Good luck with the GS, sounds very nice. I was tempted when I got my RX a few years ago but the latter was more practical and was better suited to my purposes.
  14. Hello, previously i have owned a Lexus RX450h 2013 Reg but about a month ago some stupid taxi driver smashed into it writing it off completely. I've received my insurance money and have recently purchased a 2016 Lexus GS300H with the F-Sport Package. I've gotten used to it now on the drive back home. But overall i am very proud to be an owner of one, and its great car. I mean £25 Road tax is miles cheaper than the £200 i used to pay back with my RX450h and the adaptive suspension is a lot more softer. and the fuel costs are way cheaper than what i used to pay. I hope to have good times with this car 🙂.
  15. Hi, I have had my vsc and vsc off and engine light go on. I tried resetting with a paper clip in the computer port which successfully worked for few months (the lights stayed off). Now they have come on again and the reset will not work. My garage tested and said I need to replace the four Lambda sensors on the exhaust. The original parts from Lexus cost well over a grand. Has anyone had experience of this and what did you do? Does anyone know if there are any Toyota branded parts which will also do the job? I have also seen after market sensors for the sc430 made by Bosch which don't cost anywhere near as much. Has anyone here had experience of replacing Lambda sensors on their sc430 and what did you do? I would be very interested to hear your experiences and opinions.
  16. Falkens tyres, which I now use are difficult to obtain other than online or ProTyres it would seem ……. there’s plenty of local choice for other marques tho’ Malc
  17. Very cool - 18 months ago this was not possible on UK cars. £550 is cheap to be honest bearing in mind the work involved. A gamechanger for some buyers I would guess, me included - using Waze and Spotify is a massive plus.
  18. A2 Tyres Sittingbourne me ...always had good service in all the years I've used them
  19. Thats a big jump from repairing your car and driving on to a brandnew BMW for 540/month. That monthly sum can be temptive but how does it look if you have to pay 1 invoice per year for 5 years of 6480? and in the end you have to give it back and have no car? How about leaving the shocks, get the battery repaired as cheap as possible so the light goes out and swap it for a newer model? Its only for 2500 mls a year?
  20. Thanks everyone for the replies, I'm impressed and grateful! I've spoken with the dealership who have agreed it's not been supplied with the correct spec. They're having to wait until Monday to contact Lexus GB now. I'm going to push for a replacement rather than a discount and will keep you updated as to how this progresses.
  21. Traded mine in doing that 8 weeks ago same year as yours when battery off car for twenty minutes fault disappeared, Lexus said no fault found, but got rid as I thought it sounded costly if fault reappeared.
  22. Mine was blocked in the jet at the back you have to take the whole plastic spoiler off on the top, I blew into it and it didn’t unblock so stuck a needle into the port that cured it, I tested it with the head off as I thought my pump was goosed.
  23. Thanks for your reply Phil, much appreciated. I have done a few checks, there is no sound from the pump when trying to use it which leads me to think it's the pump. In fairness to Lexus I only asked them to look at it for me, not delve deeper under the wheel arch etc. they did say it "could" be either the pump or electrical with the pump being the most likely. It could also be the rear jet blocked (or the line) but that's a rear spoiler off to replace so the pump having no signs of life makes it my first port of call, if I can access it. As you say it doesn't affect the roadworthy status of the car so I'm going down the route suggested of biding my time to see if a replacement pump can be had at a reasonable price. I will investigate behind the wheel arch and do some investigation in the meantime. Will post back in due course once I have some updates.
  24. I see that it's at Lexus Woodford so I think this is the exact car that I had for a day recently whilst my NX was with them for servicing - the colour, mileage and general (slightly poor) condition of the car looks familiar. If so, then it's currently a "manager's car \ tester" so does need some TLC - although nothing that a day's worth of general cleaning wouldn't resolve (which I would happily volunteer for 😀 - would be quite therapeutic I think). I've been following the RZ forum on here quite closely since it's inception as I did have half a mind to look into getting one to replace my NX. Over time though my enthusiasm has cooled quite a bit after hearing the experiences and trials and tribulations of the RZ owners here plus the issues facing all EV cars at the moment (insurance; battery life; depreciation; etc.). I only used the RZ for my 30 mile daily commute round the North Circular in London so didn't really have a great deal of time with it to give any real, meaningful, feedback. What I can say though is that it didn't give me the wow factor that I anticipated beforehand. It drove very well and was very quiet and smooth and was very comfortable. I really like the exterior styling and this one was in the colour that I would choose. Maybe it was the condition of the car plus the usual rush hour crawling North Circular traffic and the fact it was raining that dulled everything. If I bought one I would definitely miss having a rear wiper - as I say it rained for most of the day and I never really got up to a speed that would clear the rear screen aerodynamically so my view behind was obscured all the time. I thought beforehand that I would be reluctant to get back into my NX after savouring the delights of the RZ but to be honest it didn't bother me as much as I anticipated. Having said that - if they sold a hybrid version (with a rear wiper obviously 😀), I would be very interested.
