Does anyone know if it possible to adjust the windscreen washer squirter as right one is a wide shower and left is more narrow?

In my old car (honda) it was a metal hole that could be adjusted with a pin but the rx400h seems different and don't want to damage anything.

oh well your scaring me now so how do i let down air and deflate to 36?

Remove the dust cap on the valve and depress the pin in the centre to let air out, be careful it comes out in a rush! Do you have a tyre pressure gauge?

@NemesisUK I have just let out air from all of them and made sure they are all at 36psi

If you get yourself a portable digital pump, you’re find you can preset the required tyre pressure and the pump will inflate or deflate to the preset pressure.

And of course you do this with cold tyres!

I have 2 pumps and yes the one i just used is digital, thank you @LenT

I called up Lex-Tek Autos in Sheffield for a quote on a service and was shocked at the prices they came back with.

Full service including vat is £515 and medium service including vat is £275

Almost as expensive as going straight to a main dealer

Main dealer is  RX   £400/£760

My car is 17.5 years old and to me it doesn't make sense to pay such expensive costs just for a service.

On the flip side/other hand this car has been serviced yearly up until now by Lexus Guildford with a full stamped book so i would love to keep that service history up but can't afford it......

I'm really not sure what to do but service is due NOW

I was thinking if another main dealer NOT lexus would offer a significantly cheaper service perhaps it's a good idea doing that because at least that way it will be of high standard not just any cheap backstreet garage that aren't doing the same standard and level. Thoughts?

You may find it’s a data update, but not a firmware update.  So even if it loads, it won’t do anything to improve what is essentially a very poor system.

Considering that Lexus went to Mark Levinson to get a decent audio system, it’s a mystery to me why they didn’t get the likes of, say, Garmin to supply a decent satnav!

Oh it loads just fine. I just couldn't stand having something on the car that needed updating even though I'd never use it

Why do you keep referring to Lex-Tek as a main dealer?

I don't, they are a lexus specialist that's why.

I know how you feel, Richard.

it seems perverse to have a potentially useful facility available and let it remain inactive.  A couple or more years ago I noticed one supplier offering usb stick upgrades for my car, despite Lexus having discontinued them years earlier.

I emailed them for more information - although I would in fact always be using my Garmin system - but never received a reply.  I lost interest at that point!

Think yourself lucky - full service for the isf is £890. Plus almost £800 road tax, plus £50 MOT, plus insurance and all the rest.......   Getting a bit pricey, but still keeping it.🤪

I am unable to remove this screw as it seemed to have lost it's thread and therefore the screwdriver is not holding?  Any advice on now to get it out?

Put a rubber band on top of the screw and try to unscrew it then - you are using a 'jewellers-type' screwdriver aren't you?

That's definitely worth a try but to be honest it looks a bit too bad for that and you may have to drill it out.

Does the rx400h have heated mirrors and if yes then how does one switch it on?

If it's this one then only the left mirror heats up not my side(drivers) How do i fix this as don't want to damage anything?

Also noticed the electrics only move up and down, not side to side?

Yes it has heated mirrors - the mirror symbol on the switch confirms it. If it isn't heating then I first suspect someone replaced the glass with a cheap glass that doesn't have a heating element (and non dimming too). You would need to remove the glass to see if there is wiring going to it, and if there is then measure the voltage when switched on.
