Just renewed, but will remember that in Nov. I got a 10 month accelerator policy from Admiral for my GS300 Sport. I'm 30, 2 years NCB and paid something like £700 which isn't too bad. Think if I'd have to have paid £2k+ for it, I'd have been driving something more sedate :duh:

I'm paying £600 through DIG for mine - 34 max NCB, but went to Tesco's - £2300 for mine, rang a few but never got either the reply back or a good quote.

I pay £1800 at the moment, but I've just been busted for 108.8 on the motorway, so the renewal should be intresting.

I was once going to buy a VW Corrado for $10,000. What put me off was the insurance quote of £11,000. Bargin.

Out of curiosity... checked elephant to see what they would do for me (not that I need to renew just yet). £397 seemed pretty good for fully comp with protected NCB with a £100 voluntary excess :)

I tell you what is silly...

I currently live in the middle of nowhere away from pretty much everything

Crime is low (nearly 0%) here, and the car is kept on a private driveway away from the road.

So, looked at insuring the car somewhere within 2 minutes of a train station, car parked on the public road, in a town with lots of crime.

In theory it should shoot up in terms of overall cost right?

Make it 20 quid a year extra!!!!

Good ***!!! I can't be living in the real world. We pay £3500 for 3 cars and 3 vans (and one of the cars is my Lex) And I still gave my broker a hard time. I accused him of being a member of the Turpin family. Looks like I get a good deal. :P
