Well I have set the PVR to record it next Sat...

I would love to go to Croft to see it... problem is it's a bit too far away now :)

Anyone know how much the tickets are ?

Had a look on the Brands Hatch site, just to get a price for a BTCC race , on the day gate price £25.00, advance on line price £19.00 :)

This is where all those spare i have come from guys!!!.... they have 1 auto and 1 manual altezza!!!!... obviously they will both be manual now!!!..

Hope dave and the crew do superb... just wish they would stop saying they are is200`s when they are tezzas!!!!! :tsktsk:

To the gen/puplic scott, when cars are racing round track they will say, look an lexus is200, not look at that tezza, and you dont help, driving round in a tezza with a lexus badge on the front :P :duh: :lol:

Scott i have a rather obvious question, but i take it both cars are running Beams 4 cylinder engines ?.

What about suspension, off the shelf Altezza or custom made ??.

my point exactly Gord... they will say lok at that is200 flying round the track... but is won`t be true... hey if your happy for the altezza to give the is200 a sportier image... then i havn`t got a problem...as long as the altezza gets its credit when due..

btw... i sold that car a while back... my latest altezza won`t be brandishing the lexus badge... don`t worry... lol :tomato:

but an Altezza is an IS200

different specs

but they are the same car

99% of people in euroland would recognise it as an IS200

lets face it an rs turbo is still an escort

a cosworth is still a sierra

most cars have different names throughout the world

:shutit: :shutit:

Worse than i expected  .......they should of put a straight 6 in it. :)

Race 1: 10th on the grid........DNF

Race 2: Last on the grid.........9th

Race 3: Pole (RGS)but started last from the pits........Last

I know its early in the season and its a tough championship but i do hope things get better b4 i go to Thruxton,Brands

Did they do any testing?

Great racing from the usual suspects though :D

I was actually impressed with the race, IMHO BTCC really went downhill over the last 5 years or so - but this was pretty good...

Unfortuntaly the IS200 (it has lexus badges scott) was an 'also ran', and dissapointing!

But what do you expect when its racing against cars like Astra's, Integra's and Leons?

Thats really bad :(

The integras and civic type r's road counterparts are all 2 litre NA cars, surely if they can be made competitive then the hpi car can also? I'm thinking the tuner Speed Equipe may need some time to develop the car also and whether they are an experienced player.

I think if played right we should start seeing a load of TRD and TOMs stuff coming over as per the civic type r with the spoon bits being more available.

fingers crossed eh? :hehe:

Found a quote from a BTCC race review site....

"After taking pole on his BTCC debut thanks to the reverse grid ruling, Richard Williams came down the pitlane on the green flag lap in his HPI Racing/Friends Reunited Lexus. While the team appeared to briefly check the car, Williams later admitted that this was a calculated decision, intended to prevent a first-corner mishap for the new car. The BTCC rookie joined the race from the end of the pitlane."

Hmmm..... i can see his point, but the sponsers what to see the car at the front and get some publicity.....but then again ,are the team that tight on budget, they can't afford to damage a car ;)
