Xbox 360 looked good, although MTV trailer was lame I agree.

Still I am going to buy that and the PS3 and then a 50 inch plasma to play those games in HIDEF!! Bring it on.

but I use my old pc to play online games like battlefield with desert combat mod :D

I'll probably get a couple of them but PC gaming still blows them all away IMO.

Consoles are good for certain games, especially if you've got mates round.

Nice screen, do you have a proper projector screen, it makes a big differance to image quality.

I considered going the projection route but like the convience of an always available picture.

Sky is going to start broadcasting Hidef in 2006 for some programs.

I might not even buy another games pc the new consoles are so powerful.

The PS3 cell has 10 cores!

All the tech videos and games shown at the E3 have been confirmed to be fake for the ps3, as the Gfx chip isnt complete yet, all the xbox 360 demos even the playable ones were not running on actual Xbox 360 machines either but on apple dev kit hardware, so really, no one knows for sure which has the better specs untill much later in they year.

but going on the hype of the PS2 and then the very JAGGED outcome of its first games I dont hold much hope that the PS3 will be anywhere close to what the pre rendered movies will have us believe, so Im most interested in the 360, but i'll buy all 3 new consoles anyway, but Nintendo will always make the worlds best games, they are the true innovators in the gaming world :).

i`m not in for the immediate rush because for me the question is about compatability and game support.

Currently have 2 networked pcs and a gamecube, and i will always prefer the pc for solo gaming as the precision factor is completely different between the same games on differing platforms. Theres no way C&C, Rome TW or Doom3 could be replicated on a controller.

But then for whacking on a multiplayer game like golf, or letting the kids having a go a console wins on ease and accessebility.

Its like comparing an MPV to a hatchback, and a top spec pc will still be the winner for me for some time to come.

As for the consoles, i`ll see which way the wind blows---i have a fondness for the nin, but i think xbox will win, even though ps has the catalogue.

I`ll wait for a year.
