K&n Replacement Filter

Hello!

I found out that K&N has this replacement filter for the IS 200 model. Is there anybody out there who has tryed this one? I wonder if there is a clear difference between this one and the original Lexus filter? Or is it just a waste of money?

The product number is "33-2845".

Hi James, i use K+N :) so do some others :D very good filter and not a waste of money, as you can wash them :D

Have one myself. Very good filter. As Gordon says you can also wash them and they come with a lifetime gaurantee

I got one a few weeks back.............. washable, lifetime guarantee so never has to be replaced again :D

OEM was €30 ish

K & N was €63 so over a couple of services it pays for itself

Nice gurgle to it aswell

i dunno if i'm undermining the pricing of the trader's on this forum, but you can order one online www.sparkplugs.com from the US and have it delivered to your door (overseas delivery available) .... all for a whoppin 50$USD ...(brand new) .... thats like less than 30GBP.

Thats true. But i've never been stung yet on tax and import, from all the things i've bought on the internet from America. I've bought quite a lot of various things from over the pond. Although my old man did get stung for tax and import on the only item he's bought from over there.

So still might be cheaper to buy from America.

u just need to be a bit careful that u give them the exact part number. Some of the nutheads over there get confused with the IS300 filter (square one) which they think is the same (cos IS200 is not available in north america).

They hear a bit here and a bit there about it using the same as the jp import (the altezza 4-banger also uses the same one as the IS300).. which makes them "assume" its the same as the IS200 one (Lshaped)

Drop in filter for IS200 is 33-2845

Drop-in filter for IS300 is 33-2170

Tyhoon for IS300 is 69-8700TB/TP/TR depending on the length of the tube, i.e. long tube, short ram system.
