i have just got phone call to say my new bed has arrived and wondering if ill fit a double bed in me car

Nope mate there is a metal plate that sits behind the seat. Unless you can roll your bed and squeeze it thru the ski hatch!

Ah! good point

Roof bars from Halfords about £110 for the set, been looking at that as the IS is bit limited on carrying capacity. Not very cool I know but when needs must stick em an and take em off ASAP.

Getting the seats out is easy, but there is a metal bulkhead between the boot and the interior, just checked on mine in the car park.

If you are trying to carry a decent spring matress by folding it up, even slightly, I guarantee you'll damage it. Better to spend a few quid and hire a van, or borrow someone's Volvo estate

can just imagine the surprise if you managed to fold the matress, tie it up, get it into the car then have it pop open as you were driving!!!!

half day van rental shouldnt set ya back more than £50 should it?

or as bazza said, get em to deliver it! or even courior (sp) to yourself

man and van will deliver it for about £30 ,lots in your local rag give one a call as no way a double bed is going in the back of an is200
