Had to go up to Charles worth Motors yesterday for a Service, MOT,Front discs and ARB bolt replacing (broke off)..

For those who have been up to Glossop, you know what the route is all about.. for those who don't maybe THIS might help..

Just entering Glossop and the snow started pilling on, the dreaded Marple hill approached with nearly 3" of snow on the road, had to stop as soon as i turned the corner, Celica infront braked due to bus n van stuck, i had to stop, looking up the hill i was like  .. anyway pressedthe SNOW button, slowly but surely made it up, wheels were spinng like hell, everyone looking  I got up the hill with only minor problems compared to some of the other cars that were behind me, even went past the celica..

Steve was shocked when i turned up in the snow.. told him its all about :driving: right, heres a few pics..

(there was no snow at the garage at 9am when steve got there, i got there 9.40 and this is what is was like. :winky: IS+SNOW=FUN)

at Garage

Big Joe's New Job

My car on MOT ramp

Parked up at Woodhead Pass

on way back main roads were clear-ish, but got home safely.. B)

You're a very brave man doing that journey in the snow. The last time i did it was in thick fog that you could only see a few yards in front. At least i couldn't see the drop over the side of the mountains

In the snow though

You're either brave or stupid

lmao.. it didnt snow during the 1st bit of the journey, only as i entered Glossop that it landed pretty thick quickly, if it started snowing as set-off, doubt it if i would have even made it half-way.. as for the cliffs, that pic i took on the way home, it was all clear on the way there tho..

:lol::lol:

WOW!! :o

Your a brave man!! I would never have done that, remember that Steve crashed his IS200 round this area last year too.

Did Joe keep you entertained? Bet he kept your ears warm!!! :P

RESPECT!!

This maybe utter rubbish seen as I have not had lots of snow yet but with coilovers the car does seem better in the snow??? Probably my imagination however.

there wasn't any snow untill i got to steves, but it was an experiance for me as never driven a RWD car in the snow before, and was surprised as to how it handled, in my opinion i would rate it a 8/10 as to how it performed..
