Fire Force 1

santa pods first jet car fireforce1 went up in flames this afternoon

left the start line with sparks flying out of it

almost immediatly the parachutes deployed

by the 1/8th mile marker is was ablaze

crashed into the right hand safety wall then bounced over to the left one , where it came to a stop 3/4 of the way up the track

with marshals running up the track, and the car totally in flames, we all feared the worst,

after what seemed like 5 minutes the ambulance arrived followed closely by the fire engine

the tannoy was dead quiet, as was the crowd

right up to the point where it was announced the driver was ok :)

sadly i dont think fireforce 1 will be anymore ;)

was a fantastic crowd at santa pod, ive never seen so many people there, seemed to be a day for things going wrong, with many cars/machines breaking down or not running

fireworks were good though :D

i was nearly there, didnt finish work till 5 so didnt leave till 5.30, accidents all up the M1, called it quites by 6.30 and only at dunstable, so turned round..
