Is200 Radio?

Woohoo got my is200 finally, will have some pics up later :)

But i went to put a cd in, and its coming up err-3 on it???

Anyone any ideas??

Your radio is knackered, go back to the dealer and complain! A new one is £400+!

Hate to say it mate but that radio is a bit umm bust ERR-3 is quite common on the models

if you do a search there are ons of posts regarding that dreded code, best thing put and Aftermarket one in and get the by pass cable you wont look back

Were do i purchase the surround to replace the radio?? sorry for ball busting

Sorry don't understand, the surround? If you mean the fascia, ebay's probably the best bet (or ask your local car audio fitters) If you mean the bypass lead, again eBay.

Err-3 DOH !! Complain like fury to the seller !!!!

All the info regarding the replacement of the Lexus head unit is covered in my IS200 ICE thread.

This also covers the different options available with regards to the Facia adaptors. Any comments welcome :D

Most people use the Autoleads Facia FP-25-00 for single din Head Units. The same unit can also be

assembled in a Double Din configuration. I further modified the facia so it matches the dash perfectly.

They have a rough finish out of the box, hence the modification.

(see here for more info, walkthru & pics ) Again any comments welcome :D

There is also a Toyota Part, but this needs the desired hole cutting out, and you may loose

TRC or Heated Seat buttons depending on your model.

Oh and let us know how you get on with the dealer/private sell that sold you the car. They really should of told you about the err3 when you handed the cash over.

well i got the car at the right money and banged him down quite a few quid, ill just buy an alpine :) least the missus cant shout a i have a valid reason woohoo thanks for all your help folks

If it's anything other than the 13902 model then I might be interested if it's cheap enough. I bought a Grom iPod interface and installed it without owning an iPod yet and THEN found out that it won't work with that model!
