Virgin ?

If you do it direct debit, they send you a comprehensive statement each month.

No contract, no rental, you only pay for what you use.

Plus can use abroad and 10% credit for monthly spend over £30.

1st 5 mins per day @ 15p/min, after that it's 5p/min.

Calls to other mobile networks @ 35p/min

10p texts (3p to other virgin mobiles).

Use abroad is flat rate and quite reasonable in my experience...

( compared to other networks at least ).

Works for me .... www.virginmobile.co.uk

if u get an orange pay as u go sim and credit it wit £50 voucher/swipe card ur txt message cost goes half price to bout 6p per txt. i credited £50 bout 2 yrs ago and still half priced tx messages now coz as long as balance doesnt go to 0pence u keep the half price deals

calling is cheap aswell not sure exact cost though

use my phone a lot dnt go nowhere without it so half price is good :D

also check that 3 network (the ones wit the video confrencing mobiles) phone is bout £200 but if u buy that u can put it on a certain package where u dnt pay line rental and if u dnt use it u dnt get a bill through. its like a normal contract but u pay for wot u use

cant remember exactly but calls were cheap wen enquired at the link txts were bout 10p though video conferencing calls were 50p per minute

Virgin is a great deal, but lousey network.

Orange has the best network but lousey deal.

Answer... The Virgin deal on the Orange network as orange have a price match tarriff that mimic's the Virgin deal, also you benefit from the fact that more people have Orange and you should make less cross-network calls.

For receiving lots of incoming calls O2 is best as the landline rates to O2 are cheapest.

Complete opposite where i live ... Orange has dire coverage.

Vodafone + T-Mobile (+ virgin) are streaks ahead of the others here.

Even '3' has better coverage than Orange

My work phone is Orange - Good, no chance they'll get hold of me :P

Just shows it's yet another factor to look at when choosing - coverage.

Those 'estimated maps' the networks use aren't any use to man or beast though.

Hassle hassle :)

Another thought ...

If you really wanna know the best mobile deals,

you should be asking a bunch of 10-12 yr olds.

They'll be way ahead of any of us knowing what's what  :duh:

Dam  you could have asked sportie daughter yesterday, but today she is 13 :o
