Air Con Filter Alarm

Hi can anybody give some advice. The a/c filter alarm was coming in during system check, so I changed it but it stayed on, so I took the filter out but the alarm is still coming on, nothing showing on my diagnostic gismo so any advice/help would be most gratefully recieved.

Easy to reset. All you do is turn the key so the lights come on the dash, do not start it up, then go to the climate control screen, keep your finger on the off button until you hear a beep. Then turn the key to off, then turn to start the car and it should be sorted.

Done that worked a dream I should have asked here first instead of searching through the manual, thank you a brilliant result.

This looks like it will save me £25 :D but does anyone know if the alarm is triggered by mileage covered or whether the filter is really 'blocked', and if it's the former, will a decent hoover let it work OK for a good while longer?

I have read somewhere that its based on air pressure differential between air being blown in and air coming out.

I cant see how giving it a clean wont work - go for it
