Traded In The Is200

Recommended Posts

Well... after just over 3 years of IS200 ownership we've decided to chop it in for something with a bit more... I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the users and moderators of this forum who have provided lots of valuable advice - probably more than I contributed in return.

I'd do it all again but I'd go for a manual with the dark interior rather than the auto with cream interior.

The new steed has 230BHP and 300NM of 3ltr Merc V6 and only 2 seats... so I don't think I'll be on here much in future.

Thanks everyone!

Mwahahaha i take it youve got a bimmer then?

Yeah, it's in bits ATM and broken up. Click sig...

The newer Mercs are alright but I wouldn't touch any between 1994 and 2005 unless the whole thing has been dipped in hammerite....

Believe me, if they've not got at the very least rotten wheel arches then he's been rather lucky, especially on the 99 model.

Yep i had a clk for about 2 wks and found loads of rust so passed it on.

Think you sold it to me, the V5 had just come through if I remember correctly? Awful car, I sorted the rust but never was the fanny magnet I imagined it would be.

The one i had was sold to a guy from nottingham or should say swapped for an is200, which had cheque for new tax cancelled, which left me with a fine and having to pay for new tax on top.
