Hi all. Set to collect my IS200 in the next few days so will no doubt be on here asking questions very soon! Looks to be a very helpful community, hope I can contribute in the future.

Cheers

Ian

Hi Ian. Welcome to the site. We've got a club meet at the Plank and Leggit on Sunday 5th May if you're up for it.

Is that Nottingham way? Bit of a trek but Sister-in-law lives in Derby so could be an excuse to head that way and escape for a bit :)

Well, took the plunge and went to collect the IS lastnight. Bought it unseen off eBay so was a little apprehensive but for the price I paid it was going to have to be a dog for me not to bring it home (especially after getting a lift to St Helens to get it!).

On first impressions I needn't have worried. The fella was a lovely bloke, insisted that now I've got a Lexus I will never want anything else. He had this one for 4 years and has swapped it for a new one. Has done 69k but looks and feels like it's done half that. Had a grin on my face for the entirety of the 3 hour romp home!

Only thing that appears to be wrong is the the lights behind the heater knob on the dash has gone. Probably a bit of a pain to get to but not the end of the world by any stretch.

Happy puppy so far....

The centre console (heater vents, access to the radio) is very easy to remove. I've had to take my radio out a couple of times and it's a 20 minute job. I'll find the thread about replacing radio unit as it has a YouTube video showing how easy it is.

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

Pictures, pictures we all love pictures! If you want you can post the link to the car on eBay, not a problem since it is now sold.

Sounds a good one with low mileage and an owner who has kept it for 4 years and then only replaced it with a newer model, did you ask if he was a Club member?

Found this which looks like it should be relatively simple...

Will post some pics when it stops snowing! The pics on eBay don't really do it justice, though this is the car:

As usual the wheels are knackered but I'll be replacing them at some point soon anyway, got my eye on some black 18s when I sell the Audi. Just the dilemma of whether to go 8 inch wide or go all out, roll the arches and get staggered 9.5s on the back :)
