Reasonable Looking Mk Iv Ls400 On Ebay

Recommended Posts

The steering wheel, unless its the picture looks as though its done a lot more mileage. Mine has 135k and it hasn't a mark on it. Just how easy is it to clock these cars? Not the complete details. Mike

Looks to me as if it's on a car lot ! West Malling is just round the corner from the Paddock Wood car auctions too.

Looks ok though, probably picked up for a song at the auction.

Malc ( from near there in Kent )

Would think what sort of mileage the car has done, lots of wheel turning round junctions, roundabouts etc would be heavier than straight line motorway cruising. My wheel looks less worn than that at 160k, hopefully nice motorway mileage.

I use my local garage for MOTs and usually get the owner's wife to come and collect then return the car as I am at work.

About 2 years ago the car was brought back and I immediately noticed my steering wheel was torn to pieces with bits of the leather coating flapping around.

I approached the garage to ask what had gone off as they are generally very good, fitting the disposable seat covers and carpet covers.

Turns out Mrs. MOT has lots of rings on her fingers and it was these that chewed the leather even in a short distance.

So if anyone does view the car ask to see the driver's hands.

I read you story twice, how far from the moon was the MOT garage. I cant believe if you have rings on your fingers that will cut up a leather steering wheel that her or his hands are not bandaged up and full of stitches. Mike

Yes having rings on your finger can make afew marks on the steering wheel, I used to have a thumb ring, took it of once I saw the damage it was doing to the steering wheel

It will be interesting to see how the bidding goes. There are still six days left . . .

No bidding required Pepe, just one button push and it's bought for under a thousand.

You are right, Michael. I've just checked and it's been SOLD!

That was quick, bet he's thinking he should have asked for more.
