Arkym Carbon Diffuser & Aeroworx Carbon Front Splitters Installed

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

So I finally managed to get the car cleaned after my last set of mods. :)

I've also added the later LED foglights, although the passenger side unit isn't seated properly! :(

Looks like I'll be removing the front bumper again at some point! ;)

I've also bought new alloys. :)

These are Wedsport SA67R's. They are lighter than the OEM BBS alloys by quite a bit, and it turns out the manufacturer is a subsidiary of Toyota. :)

I wasn't going to buy them just yet, but typically they've been discontinued, and I had no choice but to buy the last set in the entire US! Lol.

Hoping to get them over with by buddy from Texas in February, but won't be on the car till May or June when I get my bonus from work. I'll be running bigger tires, so my refurbished BBS and Vredstein's will be up for grabs.

Then it's H&S exhaust time! ;)

I also added the matching black HPS radiator hoses. These are from the same firm as my intake hose.

Let me know what you think.

Cheers.

Peter :)

Looks great....love the rear diffuser. Did you bring it back on the plane?

Those alloys will be great once you get them over here.

Yes, managed to get the airline to check my diffuser as baggage! Lol.

Splitters were also from the States, there's a group buy over on their forum. :)

Weds are stunning mate! Can't wait to get them over here, and on the car. Thinking Michelin Super Sports for tyres? Tried the new Vredstein's, but only £70 cheaper than the Michelins! :(

Sure thing on the H&S Charlie. :)

Be around June time hopefully.

My stockers will be getting sold indeed. That's my exhaust money! ;)

Looking good mate. Love the wheels but potential colour clash with the callipers?

Diffuser looks sweet! Like the splitters as well. Coming together nicely. Still doing spacers and coilovers?

Pete. Have dropped you a text re fogs. Have you got the part number and price pls. Also easy to fit?

Part number is: 8122048050PC

They are Toyota parts.

Fitting isn't easy mate. Need to take off the front bumper! :(

Had to take mine off to fit the splitters, so wasn't too bad doing them at the same time.

I think the Calipers will look ok chap. ;)

Weds are gunmetal, which is the same as my OEM wheels?

No need for spacers with the new wheels. ;) they have a wider offset.

Will still be doing the coilovers, and carbon vented bonnet with just the vents in carbon (rest will be body colour).

Also doing FIGS handling kit and the racing brake 2 piece rotors. :)

Just need to rob a bank! Lol.

Really Pete?? I thought you can take the arch liner off and the screws are there?

I'll check mate.

Passenger side hasn't seated properly. :(

Will see if I can get enough access through the arch liner, and let you know fella. :)

No spacers is a win. Was referring to the blue accent on the wheels clashing with the Orange calupers.

Got you. :)

Think it will be ok though. The F badges as you know have blue surrounds.

If not, I'll have to get the calipers re-painted! ;)

No big deal though either way mate.

Yeah not a biggy at all. I'd get the calupers painted I think, either blue or back to black/grey with blue decal??

I'd actually thought about going silver with blue decals? Think that might look rather nice! :)

Not sure silver would work with grey wheels imo.

Stu

Duly noted. ;)

We'll just have to wait and see how the Orange looks I guess. :)

If it's not working, I'll have to look at other options.

Might have to go blue with white logos! :)

Just prefer not to be a copycat! Lol.

I'm quiet on modification threads. I prefer to leave things as they are and save my pennies for my next car. But, as a reader of Hot Car and Custom Car in the late 70s / early 80s (Anyone else remember them?) its good to read what other people like to do. So do keep the stuff coming

Hi Julian,

Yep, the photo was just to show the style, not correctly sized.

Mine are though. ;)

Got 19x9 +35 fronts, 19x10 +42 rears.

Mine also have the newer carbon fibre centre caps. :)

Can't wait!
