  1. Subaru WRCs are LHD despite being built in UK. I think it's because most of the events are in LHD countries - makes sense to be on the correct side most of the time.
  2. I would guess it's absolutely stunning??
  3. 1) It's cobblers to say that this is normal, worth checking tyres (different types?) & pressures and alignment and 2) 2) This sounds like maybe ball-joint wear which is a common problem and might also be responsible for 1). What mileage has it done, I notice you say it's done it from day 1 but was it new or used? 3) Not starting first time occasionally (ie once in 6 months) is not unusual on the IS2. Could be the transponder in the fob was dodgy when it was a regular problem. I have to say I don't think Lexus dealers are neccessarily better than anywhere else - it's about the individuals, not the sign over the door IMO.
  4. They quoted me the same price as on their website (ie no discount). By comparison, mtyres did F1s for £94 each all-in.
  5. It's mytyres.net I got 4 F1s from them - like the company, like the tyres.
  6. My 30k service was about £90 - I guess your MOT would be about £30-£40. If your tyres are original, then you have a startlingly low amount of wear - mine were all done-in at 35K.
  7. It's not the number of lights, but where they are and what function they have - you can't combine fog and brake lights.
  8. Blimey - the best I've managed is 470. Mind you, I never drive at 70 (well, not on the motorway at least ) How much gas did it take when you filled it? I put 67.something in after 470.
  9. My sunroof has creaked since new (now done 45k). Lexus Leeds have looked at it 3 times and not made the slightest difference, except last time they took the roof lining out and have not refitted the A-post trim properly, so that rattles as well now The REALLY annoying thing about this is that I know what the problem is and have told them (repeatedly) but they take no notice. I'm going to give them once last chance before I take my business elsewhere.
  10. I think he meant the body kit, not the supercharger ;) The s/c is not "approved" by Lexus GB.
  11. I knew someone would ask that No, sorry, I don't - I just know that such things exist. Quick search on web; Cruise Control UK
  12. I knew someone would ask that No, sorry, I don't - I just know that such things exist.
  13. It may well get facelifted next year, but I understand the new IS will be out in 05 and it will be a completely new platform (ie not a facelift).
  14. Don't know about the wiring - it probably IS built into the loom, but you need actuators (for the throttle) and extra switches and stuff. AFAIK you can only have it on the auto. There are people who make aftermarket cruise control systems if you're really keen.
  15. Starts with the paint chips, moves on to the alloy wheels, finishes with the callipers.
  16. worked OK for me - looks and sounds.... well.... monster :P A "stroker" is a longer throw crankshaft, which increases the piston stroke and so gives a bigger capacity - which is obviously NOT what you were thinking :winky:
  17. CD's get stuck in the changer Where the water pump is bolted to the engine (can leak)
  18. I get between 10 and 11 km/l but that's nearly all motorway cruise - hardly any round town mileage.
  19. Yeah, I would be interested (subject to seeing how noticeable and how easy to apply) and would pay ~£100. However, I would be MORE interested in Lexus actually using some real paint to cover their cars - I have never seen such poor paint on ANY car. It's one of the things that really puts me off getting another one.
  20. An automotive wolf in sheeps clothing - looks quiet & unassuming, but underneath..... I take it that it is the RS200?
  21. ermm - hadn't thought of it that way. around the £300 mark is sensible isn't it? should be able to get something decent for that shouldn't I? Would recommend the Fuji F401, great quality, v compact (quite similar to the Ixus), does movies etc and about £280.
  22. Find a Sport owner with eibachs, and buy their old springs.
  23. My 20k was £250. Not true - well, it IS a trait, but the rest of it is cobblers. You need to get a laser alignment done (at your dealer preferably). by joining.
  24. Easier to package - a v6 is a lot shorter than an i6, so shorter bonnet and easier to achieve crash performance, especially with upcoming pedestrian safety ratings. Of course that'll make it harder to fit a supercharger without the handy space on the right hand side :winky:
