  1. Everybody is right!! *you can tint the fronts upto 30% *most cars come as standard with 30% some even more!! *to ensure you stay legal leave em alone!! I took my car to the local station and got a traffic officer to check if my light smoke would be legal before putting it on and actually it was already over the limit at 68% visible light as standard probably because it was like this before the regs came in! I have seen the police doing checks and actually enforcing the instanty removal or taking the car of the road at the owners expense! As much i would love to have em done they stayin as they are n legal... for now at least!!
  2. sounds great!! well up for this if im not of on holiday!! how about a go-karting session too!! i know of a great indoor circuit that im sure wont remember banning me!!
  3. You should have one cable with suitable fuse coming from the battery and split using a fused distribution block. The 2 grounds should be fixed to one point / same point on the chassis. a single remote wire split to feed the two amps is fine as it carries very little in the way of power. As for a power cap... there is always a mass debate ( :P ) when it comes to these. i have tried with and without and to be honest there is never much differnce. would recommend getting a biger batter but if its just sittin around then you can try with and with out and make up your own mind!!
  4. would have to are with wozza.. sounds like the internal amp on the head unit is overheating.. either that or one of the speakers is blown and thats causing it to shut down.. try each speaker inturn to check...
  5. Hehe.. on the ICE front.. it looks like i might be having a lot more work done. currently negotiating with a supplier to have a new install as a demo car.. gettin a bit excited but means i cant get it lowered until its all complete!!
  6. sorry i had to shoot off guys.. will make sure i have more time for the nest one and not rushing off to tescos!! the misses guessed where i had gone but luckily got away with it!! good to finally meet some of the club.. lookin fwd to the next one!

  8. i will be there!! what times good?? anytime late afternoon is fine by me, say about 3??
  9. thats two of us then.. anybody else??
  10. they are 18"... they look smaller because of the 1 1/2" deep dish!! was going to go for 19" but didnt want to affect the ride quality, handling or performance... oh abnd they would have been bloody expensive!! i want it so that there isnt much gap between the tyre and the arch..
  11. guys... lets fix a venue then?? i think somewhere central to us all is good so guess that may be l;ong eaton as was suggested and sounds like it was a good turn out last time.. lets go witha majority vote!!
  12. Im after some help.. im looking to lower the car now after having looked at it with the new wheels on long enough and agreeing with most of you that it does in fact need it!! how low can it go without any scrubbing and affecting the handling adversley?? how much would i need to spend approx?? im on a budget now as i gotta pay for me n the misses to go on holiday!! gallery link cheers
  13. have you tried moving where you put your phone?? the interference normally comes when u put it close to the head unit.. The phone is located near the center arm rest, it only happenes when i am listening to cd. i seem to get similar when i put my blackberry under the hu but not when its actually in the recess nect to the sat nav remote.. i would guess it is just too close and would test out putting it somewhere else and seeing if u get the interference..
  14. have you tried moving where you put your phone?? the interference normally comes when u put it close to the head unit..

  19. Your welcome...... According to the Doc my hearing should return in another year or two?..... That's some ICE you have in your car.... And the first time i have needed to re-calculate a Geometry to suit!!! ahh... this makes sense!! the extra weight in the boot also affects the geomtry set up!! i have an obscene amount of extra weight.. practically takes up the whole boot!! looks like you may need to reclac for me too when i can get to see you!!
  20. What year is your lex?? will dig out the info...
  21. i would always recomened stayin faithfull!! :winky: if you build a relationship with the retailer, then you will always get better advice, better service and better prices!!! i have a specialist retailer in all of my vices.. namely ice, games and home hifi! always get the best deal off em all the time.. just need top find one for lexus goodies!! :)
  22. Not overpriced at all.. in fact they are cheaper on this unit than most other retailers.. granted there are spme cheaper places but as you said they give good advice and there customer service is excellent. would recommend goin there as they will def look after you and will be able to sort you out later down the line should you decide to add to your system.. i have bought all my stuff from there and always get taken care of, even spending time to tune it all up after i installed it all myself!
