Chris: There are people who have used Forced Induction on that V8...and have had better results than you could probably imagine :). It was just a suggestion...as he did say he was outgunned and listed power figures and not to mention said he'd consider a V300...unless I missed something.

Should've made that your original post... :). High pitch noise? Sounds like you might have an air leak or something since it increases in relation to speed...is there no way of localising the sound in question?

Jags don't come close to the Lexus IMHO...a V300 would get you your "how fast" status back though ;). Maybe look into Forced Induction for that V8 ;)

What kind of speed? What kind of Road? What kind of tires? All these affect the noise... I mean it is extremely quiet, except for wind noise. Seems eerie when doing motorway speeds and all you can hear is wind and nothing else. Wind Noise isn't all that loud either, can't imagine what the LS is like if the GS is this quiet.

Not trying to take away the business from local resellers for parts for our cars but also take a look at www.takakaira.com. They've got the Blitz after P&P to the UK including piping etc for about £600 I think. They've also got the HKS Type R for about £1100 (after currency conversion). I'm going home today and taking the damn foglights out then...since it makes a huge difference! Thanks for the tip. About the Supra FMIC fitting the Aristo, I had the same thoughts as to space in the engine bay, but I'm guessing it'd mostly be a piping issue. Have you thought about picking up a Spearco FMIC from the US (online retailer) and just having the piping custom made...since majority of manufacturers (HKS, Blitz, GReddy, etc) use Spearco cores anyway? It's a much cheaper alternative to be honest...I'm thinking of getting it done and having the pipes made by a local exhaust company. If interested let me know I'll post up the links to the Spearco IC's :). About the Oil Cooler if anyone can help it'd be much appreciated as I've got a link to some "generic" ATF/Oil Coolers (with temperature controlled FAN) that have been getting positive reviews on ClubLexus USA & Supraforums USA.

I thought they'd be the ones that replace the outer shell :( .... oh well, time to do more searching!

I'd also be interested in this :) .... just wondering if Supra FMIC and piping would fit the Aristo. Hope you don't mind Paul :). Also have you got a decat done as I'm sure having the least amount of back pressure would help a great deal especially with a FMIC and higher boost :).

Used to have Continental ContiSportContact 2's, now got Eagle F1's. I'd say both are on par with one another, although the Continentals aren't as good as the Eagle F1's in Wet Weather, but then the Eagle's have a weaker sidewall than the Continentals. I'd say stick to the Eagle's, best tire I've ever used :).

IIRC I saw some last week on www.ebay.com...it was just the outer (unpainted) shell of the mirror with LED Indicators built in, and as far as I can tell you just "splice" into your side repeaters...so I don't think you'd lose the heating facility, although I may be wrong. Let me see if I can find the link :).

OK, I've got a Mk2 Aristo and I'm pretty certain I CANNOT change the Radio/touchscreen to any double DIN stereo/TV/DVD system without losing the A/C & heating controls. So I honestly don't think it's possible but one of the Electronic Guru's here might be able to help you overcome that, although IMHO I don't think it's possible. I take it you had the standard Lexus Touchscreen for the CD Player/Radio/Heating/AC etc?

I totally agree with Rillo. Look at the weather conditions as well as driving preference, otherwise it'll end up being just a weekend/summer car. Try taking it out for a test drive during a snowy/rainy day to see how you like it, it's the only way you'll ever find out.

Yep Tony definitely is a very nice chappy who knows his stuff!! Still need to get new front tires sorted out by him as soon as the current ones wear out! Hope you don't have to buy a new wishbone Keith :(.

not true, below certain speeds the ABS doesnt work, off the top of me noggin i cannot recall the speed, maybe 20mph ← Never had to perform an emergency brake at under 40mph...hmmm...thanks for the info though. Will definitely keep it in mind :D

Since it's been brought up...who or where would "one" be able to get their A340E Transmission rebuilt apart from sending it to Boostlogic in the USA (who are having problems too with turnaround & reliability as on Supra Forums).

Yep car's don't skid with ABS, or are not meant to. I've NEVER skidded the car except for when my ABS wasn't working. Dangerous Brain: How much are you paying for the RLTC? Where from? Really interested.
