  1. Its a mix of town county lanes and a bit of dual carriageway average speed of 35-40 overall roughly Stick cruise control on 70mph on a motorway 3 hours later I will have averaged 40-43mpg
  2. No I had plenty of G1, you use these products very sparingly and they spread forever about 12 drops covers the whole screen no problem! Also no issues with the C4 I do have quite a bit more plastic than most having the underline kit on my car but even so more than enough to go round. Dont be put off by the price if they do last they are fantastic value and give great results so far!
  3. Yeah I would prefer the screen to either be none existent or stay off all the time! May be worth noting you can get F50's for £75-78 on eBay with either handwire or 12v socket setups. Its still plenty of money but 25% cheaper than £100 if thats what they used to be? Yeah under the brake light would be ideal very discreet and OEM, however you raise a very good point even above the brake light on my car with the increased height of the spoiler having the camera at the top of the screen may be a better ideal! Also my windows are tinted, does anyone have any experience with removing these dash cams from the film when it comes time to sell? Have a feeling it could destroy the film trying to pull the thing off!
  4. Thats handy! My only issue with them is the power feed is designed to come from the top but I would be installing the rear camera at the bottom of the screen next to or ontop of the the rear brake light. Will be a bit untidy having the wire coming out the top and looping round
  5. Just as an experiment I drove like a granny for a bit just to see how economical the 2.5 V6 could be, obviously this engine was never really designed to be amazing on fuel, however over the last 20 odd thousand miles has delivered me 32mpg average without making any attempts to conserve fuel. After the granny driving the car returned just over 40mpg which to me seems amazing from a petrol V6 and just backs up what I was already thinking that even doing decent mileage every year around 15k it isn't worth me moving back to a diesel to gain 10-15mpg which would save around £1000 a year but comes at a cost to driving refinement and more importantly leave me worried about the next bill that could crop up at any moment.
  6. Yesterday I got the chance to do a bit more protection work on my black trims and plastics around the vehicle and glass in the form of some Gtechniq G1 and C4, both seem like fantastic products, both require a lot of n to make sure the surface is perfectly clean before applying the protection, but according to the manufacturer and a lot of reviews this should last for up to 2 years. It just started raining here so nipped outside to take a look and the car now beads top to bottom on every possible surface and type of material including the glass and black trims I have been really impressed with the Gtechniq products so far, my alloys, glass and exterior trims are all now treated with Gtechniq and I'm starting to feel like a bit of a walking talking advert for them but I'm half tempted to try their T1 tyre and trim as well. Also very interested how their Crystal Serum compares to Fusso Soft 99 which has really impressed me too
  7. Any half decent welder can install one, I have had one on my IS250 for over a year, I'll be honest I never actually open it up after the first couple of days but its there if I ever wanted to make a lot of noise!
  8. As a qualified VDA, the wing requires replacement, also the mirror surround appears to be cracked so replacement required, further investigation would be required to ensure no further damage to the mirror, the alloy wheel and tyre should both be replaced as it is impossible to check a tyre is fit for purpose visually, again the alloy has taken an impact and could contain a hairline crack only way to know if this is safe is to x-ray the alloy or replace to be safe. The the bumper requires a strip repair and paint and the R/F door requires a strip and blend. Please when you do have these repairs completed ask for a copy of the estimate and upload it so people can understand the work involved and can stop putting these couple of hundred pound prices on here and missing half the damage
  9. They are competitive on cost agreed and do seem to get good reviews, not sure if having the little screen lighting up behind me all the time would be annoying? Can it be switched off?
  10. The main reason I like the F770 is the lack of screen which I see as a bonus but also because it is a dual camera setup the footage runs in real time, just think it provides very good evidence in the event of an accident, plus it looks very tidy setup on the car. Wish I had done a bit more research before buying the Nextbase in the first place!
  11. Agreed mate I think its awful and your cant put a price on someones life it needs sorting its gone on far too long, but I do understand why the manufacturers are trying to do this the most cost effective way possible
  12. Now that I like what a nice ideal, would go very well with my flat bottom blue stitch steering wheel and gear knob! Would be interested to know who did this for you if you are allowed and pricing as well!
  13. Agreed stick to your guns the damage to your car is not fixable with thinners and £50 on a wheel unfortunately, there is potential suspension damage from an impact like that, and I would say over £1000 worth of bodywork damage minimum without completing an assessment.
  14. I would say its a business decision based on market share, not the most ethical way to look at things but come across as a great company with great ethics in the US to retain sales, then look at the UK tiny market share, small amount of profit in reality lets do what we can to keep the Brits happy but no need to go overboard, none of the other manufacturers are offering that to the Brits lets just do the same as everyone else to keep costs as low as possible. Its not right but it will be hoe they are looking at it. In reality if they put every owner of ever Lexus worldwide into long term hire it would bankrupt the company
  15. It'll be reet I have touched hundreds of cars up over the years, but I have literally no idea what the "correct" direction is to lay the particles down? I'm intrigued by the answer too
  16. I'm pretty safe have to zoom out quite a way to see any circles and numbers! 10 years ago I believe Kendal had the lowest crime rate of any town in the country. Not so sure these days!
  17. Atomised out of a gun is the only way to lay metallic paint down correctly.
  18. Colours often have different trade names to retail brochure names most manufacturers do the same thing
  19. My Mrs whines about everything my car is just another thing to add to the list
  20. Biggest issue with the Audi clocks is when you bake the car in the repair process the 2 plates on the speedo separate under the heat and cause all kind of starting and running issues, its a nightmare!
  21. Obviously putting the best colour on it has helped but think its probably the wheels that also help set it off
  22. What a shame stunning car! Least the seats have found a good home!
  23. Agreed 19s are the absolute maximum you retain at least some comfort. I think 19s are a good mix between looks and still usable in lexus suspension day to day
