1. Been running Dunlop super sports for a couple of years now and im quite happy with them , seem to be good in all conditions , apart from snow of course
2. Yeah , mine are just the same 225x45x17 front and 245x45x17 rear , last pair I bought ( one of each ) was £256 .
3. Its happened to my wife once as well , being a woman she presses buttons hard and long ( all women seem to ? ) when I went out to get the car all the windows were open and I had the same feeling as you . :shutit:
4. Yes I agree the Auto and the manual are both pigs in the snow but if you do invest in winter tyres dont forget to inform your insurance company.
5. As far as I know all the Autos arel CVT transmissions, mine certianly is, and I wouldnt be without it the smoothest ride imaginable and the road tax is £240. a lot cheaper than the manual which by the way is a lot worse on fuel and a tad slower to my mind too.
6. Make sure you complain to the Principal in writing and let us know what happens.
7. I agree the 250SEL AutoMM is the one to go for and the wheels are CRAP but thats the only fault so make sure they are good before you buy .
8. I have the same model as you but a 55 and the things that seem to concern you have not been a problem to me, yet , as far as extending the warranty goes I think its worth the risk not to as like you say the engine should be bomb proof. Enjoy.
9. I have an 55 SEL and have just the same problem, been refurbished once ( grudgingly) and beginning to bubble again , What I cant understand is they are the same wheels on an Avensis and they dont have the problem , must be the manufacturer ? I have taken out the extended warranty and intend to pester Lexus again as they are bound to get worse over the winter. such a shame and you would think such a car maker would actually do something about it!
10. Looks like the type of dint you get when opening the door in your garage , if you bought it from a lexus dealer im sure they would have enough good will to repair it for you , apart from that it looks lovely ,same as mine exactly , how many miles on ?:winky:
11. Agree with everything said about the IS 250 , but I wouldnt touch a diesel.:winky:
12. I would be interested to know if your mirrors return to the same position every time, after reversing or a different driver they seem to have a mind of their own ?
13. No, Like the man said the mirror select switch has to be in either the right or left mirror position and then they will dip
14. I agree totally with you about the extended warranty , I bought one this year and it cost £750 , had a little niggle with the drivers door mirror ( works occassionally ) and the response I got was " well the cars four years old now we will go halves " I was not impressed and will not be using their warranty again, having said that I love the car and so far has been fault free and a joy to drive.
15. Get shot before the warranty runs out and buy a Petrol version, much better
16. The front tyres are a different size to the back tyres and I wouldnt recommend swapping them around.
17. Best idea would be to read the manual , its not a big problem at all .

18. Hi The front lights when set on Auto come on when it gets dark or you go through a tunnel etc. Hope that helps .
19. Everything you could possibly want for your car , Thanks Paul
20. A tad expensive to my mind, I paid £500 for a 40,000 but that included new pads and two front disks and the MOT, obviously it wasnt Lexus but he used all genuine Toyota parts. Im happy
21. Mine are just the same, worst thing on the car in my opinion .
22. Both my front calipers were seized at my last service ( not lexus ) ! both freed by the mechanic and perfect ever since, and who told you that tyres were £200 each , do an internet search and you can even get the best continentals for just over the ton and budget tyres from around £50.Best of luck with your complaints.
23. I have the MM IS 250 Auto and Love it , Drove the 220 recently and I would rather buy a mondeo ?????????:winky:
24. Pleased you have twigged the mirror issue , and the CREAK is a known issue and you should not have any problems getting it sorted .:winky:
25. Hi I had a loaner IS220F sport last week for the day as my own car had the master cylinder recall and I must admit I agree with everything you say especially 6th gear and the crack , the car was a 2010 with 4,000 miles on . My own car is an IS250 Auto and what a difference ! If I had bought the 220 it would have been history by now.
