  1. the part number will be the same if it's the same part. Not sure if UK dealerships have access to the US EPC though. You could try posting on the US forums, somebody may be able to find out the part number for you.
  2. I would advise you ask your question on the US forums as there are many more LS owners there than in the UK. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/
  3. If you put on a larger width then you can have a low profile number, however the actual height will remain the same as the profile is a percentage of the width. Just changing the profile will result in a smaller wheel/tyre circumference and therefore would affect your speedo/odometer.
  4. You would need to fit a lower profile tyre to keep the same circumference otherwise your speedo will be out. Something like 265x35x18.
  5. The standard battery is not up to much so if you still have this it's worth upgrading.
  6. Most Sony things I've owned have had problems. Vaio laptops - the newer ones are ok but still have issues, older ones were rubbish.
  7. I would have thought the pump on the US and UK vehicles would be the same. I would guess the LS400 MKIV also uses the same part. Both the GS MKII and the LS400 MKIV launched at the same time and both have the electric brake booster so there is a good chance they share the same part. Not sure if the pump is available on it's own in the UK, certainly all the dealers will just try and sell you the complete master cylinder for £2k, but the pump certainly can be removed. One thing that nobody seems to have tested is if the pump or the pressure sensor is at fault. I guess it is the pump but it's worth checking the pressure sensor as that would be a much cheaper item to replace.
  8. It's either the way you drive or the way the wheel nuts have been tightened up. The brakes and discs have a much harder time when they are installed in the heavier and more powerful GS430.
  9. shouldn't be because at WOT the ECU should be in open-loop.
  10. The problem is the Intake Air Control Valve (IACV), common issue on the RX300/ES300. Just needs to be cleaned. Do a search on the US forums - lots of posts there. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/
  11. The electric motor have massive torque at low revs so it is quick away but the vehicle has not been tuning for maximum performance.
  12. DVD Sat Nav discs are around £350. The map data is normally around 18months out of date.
  13. Ooh didnt know that, I had done 3 restarts before pulling the fuses tho, one to get to halfords, one to go get my hair cut straight from halfords and one to get from there home. The light was still lit? Ok the fuse thing worked great guys, did the spark plugs. However I had only just got back from getting my hair cut so the engine was a little on the mega boiling side of things. I covered in so many blisters. The original spark plugs (after 60k) looked absolutely fine, so much so that I've kept them incase the IK20's start dying on me. Car feels exactly the same as before, not a single problem. Should I be expecting any change at all in the engines behaviour? Idle level? anything? Just wondering thats all. ← On the 4th start it should have gone out.
  14. If you don't want to use Toyota pads then go with Mintex, they work with the stock discs. I wouldn't recommend EBC. The Lexus price is high because of their labour rates, the actual pads aren't too expensive.
  15. again let's not talk about illegally downloading their content. You pay for the amount of time you require access to the documentation. I would imagine they are able to monitor access and would detect somebody downloading hundreds of pdfs.
  16. don't think they have done a 4.3l version? 3.0 NA (S300) or 3.0 TT (V300). Series I was also available as a AWD 4.0 NA. Vertex is a trim level, can be either NA or TT powered.
  17. IK27 - a couple of Honda bikes: http://www.densoproducts.com/resultsSearch...PartNumber=IK27
  18. do you feel the vibration if you just rev the engine whilst not moving?
  19. You need to replace the engine ECU. Which is not easy because you will lose ODB-II, VVT-i etc. You will also have to adapt the throttle cable mech. so that it can fully open the throttle body.
  20. plus we don't discuss illegal copying here.
