  1. They have that wrong then. The pads on the IS are the same as the series II GS
  2. recommended tyre pressure for the 17" wheels is 30 PSI
  3. Probably just the dealer didn't put them on correctly. Maybe it had those nasty gold badged which most dealers remove and put on normal ones.
  4. as you only change the spark plugs every 60,000 miles it's hardly a big deal. If you think changing the plug on the GS is difficult then you wouldn't want to work on an RX300/ES300.
  5. No Lexus wouldn't have even issued geometry setting for the 18"x8" wheels which is why they all wear on the inside edge. The 18"x10" just make it worse. Take you car to someone like Tony who will be able to set the car up correctly. Clearly there is too much -ve camber.
  6. Not really possible. Would be cheaper to sell the LS400 and buy an LS430.
  7. I've used EBC pads before on my Supra, cannot remember if they were green or red. Compared to Toyota pads they were complete rubbish.
  8. the stage 1 pulley makes quite a difference then :)
  9. I would guess Lexus GB just fitted the 18" wheels without considering the effects of the larger wheel and haven't issued specific geometry settings for the sport model. The factory settings were probably based on the standard 16" wheels.
  10. who has told you that? How is the car running and do you have any mods?
  11. you could just rub down and paint your existing rotors.
  12. they probably didn't change the gearbox oil though. Normally only done every 40,000 miles.
  13. juddering is a common problem. Unless you want to try a new clutch and flywheel just use a little more revs.
  14. try this: http://www.tirerack.com/upgrade_garage/Whe...01&autoModClar=
  15. worth asking. It would be covered under warranty but they could easily say it has been damaged rather than a manufacturing fault.
  16. Does look stupid doesn't it. I guess it's raised so it can be seen above a lip spoiler. The more pics I see of the interior the more I dislike it. Who had the stupid idea to hide the boot release?
  17. The buzzer is located in the dashboard somewhere - I think it's a big job to find it and remove. Worth asking salvage yards for a master cylinder on a 1998-2000 GS300. I know one or two members have had luck and saved quite a bit of money.
  18. I guess this will cost £50,000 and doesn't seem that much different in performance than a GS430.
  19. Yes it is just a con. I believe some of the money goes to the record industry to cover the cost of lost sales due to people copying CDs The stand alone hi-fi recorders etc. can only use DA CD-Rs unless you hack them. There is something on a DA disc that the recorders check for however the actual recording part is the same as a normal CD-R
  20. Yes on the newer models a second press is dead locking. Early models always deadlocked and the second press turns off the interior sensor. There is a way to turn off the sensor on your model - cannot remember how, it should be in your owners manual though.
  21. not a vehicle motion sensor but there is a microwave interior sensor. You can disable the interior sensor by second pressing the lock button (depending on vehicle age), you should get 5 indicator flashes.
