  1. you could just rub down and paint your existing rotors.
  2. they probably didn't change the gearbox oil though. Normally only done every 40,000 miles.
  3. juddering is a common problem. Unless you want to try a new clutch and flywheel just use a little more revs.
  4. try this: http://www.tirerack.com/upgrade_garage/Whe...01&autoModClar=
  5. worth asking. It would be covered under warranty but they could easily say it has been damaged rather than a manufacturing fault.
  6. Does look stupid doesn't it. I guess it's raised so it can be seen above a lip spoiler. The more pics I see of the interior the more I dislike it. Who had the stupid idea to hide the boot release?
  7. The buzzer is located in the dashboard somewhere - I think it's a big job to find it and remove. Worth asking salvage yards for a master cylinder on a 1998-2000 GS300. I know one or two members have had luck and saved quite a bit of money.
  8. I guess this will cost £50,000 and doesn't seem that much different in performance than a GS430.
  9. Yes it is just a con. I believe some of the money goes to the record industry to cover the cost of lost sales due to people copying CDs The stand alone hi-fi recorders etc. can only use DA CD-Rs unless you hack them. There is something on a DA disc that the recorders check for however the actual recording part is the same as a normal CD-R
  10. Yes on the newer models a second press is dead locking. Early models always deadlocked and the second press turns off the interior sensor. There is a way to turn off the sensor on your model - cannot remember how, it should be in your owners manual though.
  11. not a vehicle motion sensor but there is a microwave interior sensor. You can disable the interior sensor by second pressing the lock button (depending on vehicle age), you should get 5 indicator flashes.
  12. ignition timing may be incorrect or you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Is the engine running hot?
  13. try and stretch to the new model if possible. Guildford are fine with sales. How many miles will you do a year?
  14. I think an oil change is 4.2 litre with filter. A dry engine needs 4.6 litres. Would be a little bit more with a turbo because of the oil in the lines and turbo itself.
  15. I think the only issue is the hassle of using it.
  16. No I don't think it does. It is basically the same spec as the UK SE model.
  17. The 400h also gets a higher spec as standard over the US RX330 so the real price difference is even less.
  18. The service would be about £300. No different from any other Lexus model. Did you shop around the dealers? Prices can vary between them. I wouldn't have brought tyres from a dealer, they can be obtained cheaper elsewhere. Our gold membership can get you up to 15% off dealer servicing. I have the service history for my car, it's 20,000 mile service cost over £700 with new pads and discs etc. Just had it's 40,000 mile service and it cost me about £250 and the brakes are only 30% worn. So either the previous owner used to keep his foot on the brake all the time of the dealer changed things that really didn't need doing. They also charged him for 2 air filters!
  19. The only thing is the 3.5 V6 will be a different design of engine. The RX300 and RX330 have basically the same engine and if they are stopping production of one then maybe they will stop the other. 6-speed transmission will be nice and the new engine will probably be more economical than the old 3.3
  20. click on each picture to load the full size image. :)
  21. I wonder if the UK will get the RX350 when it replaces the RX330 in the US next year?
