  1. Ah right I see what you mean now... you are able to maintain 30-35mph at 6th without issues. I thought you meant that if you were to put your foot down at that moment, the car actually pulls away (accelerates) without hesitating. Sorry my bad
  2. ^^ You can't be serious mate... either that or something is wrong with my car! You'll need to take me for a ride in yours just to compare! :P
  3. Bidding crossed £10k this morning, madness!! :P
  4. I can only make it on the 29th now. Oh and just to be clear, this is the location that we're all referring to right? I'm new to that area so just wanted to be sure Bluewater Shopping Centre
  5. crikey... how many sets of tyres then do you go through in a year?
  6. I do about 15k a year; roughly half of it on the IS200.
  7. Spoke to Tony Bones over the phone today, and got my IS200 booked in at WIM on Monday morning (17th June) :D He did mention that there are quite a few spots available on that morning too, so anyone else keen to join me and get your alignment checked lol...
  8. I should be ok for either day, but will know for sure a week from now (Friday the 14th)
  9. Hi all, I came across these on YouTube, and thought it would be interesting to share them here. The first video is a short documentary on the assembly of the 2nd-gen Lexus IS at the Fukuoka plant. It's interesting to see one of the chaps at Lexus comparing the quality control to Russian dolls :P The second video has a bit more of a marketing tinge to it, but it still shows the production of the current-generation Lexus LS at the Tahara plant:
  10. Well done Chris. The only issue with an IS200 when it crosses 100k is that it's value plummets even more
  11. Stuart you keep running into interesting abandoned cars for some reason. :P
  12. I think the IS250 convertible is also worth considering if you want to stay within the Lexus family Oh and another Datsun Laurel fan here too! :D
  13. Well done, your car looks fantastic! You might also want to try applying some of the AG Super Resin Polish onto the rear foglamps; it will bring the shine back and complement the rest of the car :)
  14. I don't pay TV license because I don't own a TV :P And any little spare time that I have is spent on family, friends, or cars! That said, my BMW has a TV built into it; do I need to pay license?
  15. wowza... do report back with your fuel consumption too Sounds like a nice trip for the good weather this weekend, have fun!
  16. Mine's the same as Chris and Pete.... but wish I could say the same about Lexus's wheels though
  17. Good job Dinho, I was impressed when I saw your car in person and was fortunate enough to sit inside and have a closer look at the interior :)
  18. The St Lucia Pearl looks like an amazing colour to have on an IS. I have never seen one in that colour before. Do we have any in the club?
  19. Is it me or is the sportcross more champaine'y in colour than plat ice? I was wondering the same too...
  20. Preparing my car last weekend for Japfest at Castle Combe circuit.
