  1. There are different versions. The one for version 9 of the infotainment system of Lexus is showing as compatible with LC 2019 and 20 but I suspect it should work with 2018 too. You could check your wiring behind your infotainment system and if you have the ports you see on pages 5 and 6 of the following manual, it's worth having a go. https://gromaudio.com/docs/vline_manuals/lex9_install_manual_web.pdf https://www.gromaudio.co.uk/products/vl1-infotainment-upgrade/select-lexus-2018-2012-grom-vline-vl2-infotainment-system-upgrade-video-interface-lex9.html My car a 2016 LS460 is not listed under the compatibility section on that page but the unit works as I have version 9 of the infotainment system.
  2. Gentlemen, have a look at the Grom Vline 2. Being able to run AA/Carplay on factory screen is much better.
  3. United Radio in New York should be able to fix it. I have used them in the past.
  4. I suspect the IS250 will share the same part numbers for the headlight washers and the pipe work. These should be easy to find at the breakers.
  5. I sold the GSF ages ago and no I didn't have this installed on mine. I have got a LS at the moment.
  6. For day to day use I find the integration of the phone with the car useful. When you are using Android Auto, you are using your phones data so the Vline does not need to be connected to Internet. You can for example choose a destination from the comfort of your home on your phone and when you go sit in the car it will start showing on the cars infotainment system. You also get things like Whatsapp notifications on the centre screen which is nice and you can have them read out to you too. I probably use Android Auto 80% of the time. Android Auto is locked down for safety purposes and you can't run every app on your phone on the car so there will be instances where you would want to use the android that comes with VL2. It's just one tap to exit android auto and go to the vline interface. I don't think there is a right or wrong way to go about this. It's just personal preference. I do think that anyone wanting to use the Vline interface exclusively should get an internet dongle. Using the phone as a wifi hotspot is ok for occasional use but its not practical in the long run.
  7. I have the Grom Vline 2 too and wireless android auto works brilliantly. It auto connects when I get in the car and resumes playing Spotify or Youtube Music (whatever I had open last). Using Google Maps or Waze whilst leaving my phone in my pocket is very convenient too. It's a great product.
  8. In layman terms, the 600HL can only carry one large suitcase whereas the 460 can carry two large suitcases. Yes they are a bit rare and the decent ones don't hang about. Good luck!
  9. I have owned both. I prefer the 600h as it is the faster and smoother (due to CVT) car of the two. The rolling performance is where the 600h is truly a beast. The led headlamps in the 600h are also better than the Xenons in the 460. The rear relaxation package is only available in the 600h and the 4 seat configuration gives it a more premium feel. I don't think you can get the 460 in a LWB configuration in the UK. The only downside of the 600h is that the boot is smaller in comparison to the 460. This is all I can think of at the moment.
  10. 2nd time this car has been wrapped. Looks like people want a GSF but don't fancy an orange one! :-)
  11. Have you ruled out engine flooding? Floor the accelerator and then try to start the car. You may need to do it a couple of times.
  12. I have other cars and was just not using it enough to justify retaining it. It's been looked after by Lexus Milton Keynes. There should be a service book in the car. It's only as good as the other ones out there. The color doesn't make it go any faster! 😃
  13. It's probably the color as the price isn't too bad in context of the current market and its easy to arrange your own finance at competitive rates if you like a car. My guess would be that people see it and think I can't pull that off! It's definitely not for the faint hearted as it a loud color and gets attention. I personally enjoyed seeing people react to it and being approached for chats back when I had it. It looks gorgeous in the sun.
  14. What do the error codes in the ECU say?
  15. It was pretty mental here today. Traffic jams in both directions because people were queuing on the main roads to fill up. I can only presume this is the same crowd that panic bought toilet rolls not long ago. Idiots
  16. I had the same issue on my 430 re blowing fuse and had my amp repaired by United Radio in NY. Internal short causes high current draw on these and hence the blowing fuse. The repair was $475 and it was $145 to ship it back including VAT. Turnaround was pretty quick. There is plenty of information on the US forum and the dealers in the US use this company for amp repairs.
  17. If you have Aux, the button that says 'Disc' in the picture above will say 'Disc-Aux' as shown below.
  18. Have a look at this video around the 2 minute mark. There should be a 10mm bolt under the luggage hook.
  19. The timing makes me wonder if Lexus has done this to make Genesis less appealing (at a glance) which is due to launch in the UK soon.
  20. Excellent, will be interesting to hear your thoughts. Good luck with your MOT! Anyone else reading this and being tempted by the Bluemusic adapter, it's important to note what kind of connections your CD player has. The link I have posted above may not be suitable for pre-facelift LS430's (even though the website says so), if they have the older 5+7 connection to the cd player. You can still make this work but just require a different Y cable.
  21. I've been using a bluetooth adapter from a German company called Bluemusic. Installation is easy and it plugs behind the CD player. Sound quality is excellent in comparison to the FM and cassette based Bluetooth adapters. You can also move up and down the tracks using the steering wheel buttons. https://www.musikimauto.de/BlueMusic-Bluetooth-Audio-Toyota-Lexus-6-6 If wanting to keep the CD player functionality, a 6+6 y cable will be required as shown below: https://www.musikimauto.de/Toyota-6-6-Y-Stecker-klein You can read their reviews on the German amazon website too.
