  1. Too many to list....one favourite is 'In the heat of the night'
  2. Also try LPD autoparts USA, they should be on Ebay. I got rear axle carrier bushes and trailing arm bushes from them.[poly] Good price and decent service. Cut through the outer metal of the old axle carrier bush[ carefully] then press it out. I have'nt fitted the trailing arm bushes yet. :) cheers
  3. Try cleaning all the plugs and leads, distributor cap,[if you have one], water in somewhere is tracking HT away. Spray the whole lot with WD 40 to displace any remaining water. Or blast the lot with an air line.....leave the bonnet open if you can to evaporate any water.
  4. Glad you got a result and posted it!........theres a few LS being broken up on Ebay, if you want to delay the £200 plus bill......
  5. Mine does this occasionally, I think it's the link rods inside that link the buttons to the the lock, after a few tries mine clears, but it might be worth taking the trim off for a touch of the WD40! :winky:
  6. Mine is a '94 LS but M reg 95, the board is the same as the Cole pics. Maybe yours is a later replacement.......???
  7. Make sure hand brake off, then slacken the internal adjuster right off. You may have to tap the disc off, soak the hub where the disc sits with WD 40 first....
  8. With your symptons, check fan relay and temp.switch Check the temp. switch wiring is still on , disconnecting the temp. switch causes the fan to run. Or break in the wire from fan relay to temp switch........the fan relay is in the relay block behind the passenger headlight. LAST CHECK AFTER ALL THESE, AIR CON HI-PRESSURE SWITCH BEHIND DRIVERS HEADLIGHT. :duh:
  9. Autotrader?.......... engine specialists?.........
  10. Same here, I have saved hundreds of pounds due to this and the USA site and try to put info on to help others. Telling how you fixed the problem helps us all, I just wish everyone would post the update to a problem when they solve it,as you did. :)
  11. Try LOC USA........many more LS's over there......... :winky:
  12. No mention of the fuel burnt by ships, someone give me an example.........this is tons per journey not gallons!! This hike has nothing to do with global warming it's just another tax........ The Green [ with envy] lobby are out to get 4x4's and the like........and this goverment is cashing in on it. The same old story, tax upon tax........pretend to give you something with one hand and quickly take more back with the other.....
  13. Think this is just the beginning.....eventually if you drive anything bigger than a cornflake box.........
  14. When you find one, the Uk government will do all it can to stop you driving it! High fuel cost High insurance cost Congestion charges Difficult and expensive parking Made to feel you are polluting the planet while they fly and drive regardless Best tip you'll ever get........stay where you are!
  15. Check on Ebay......place in Leicester breaking LS. I've had stuff from them ,was good service ......not too greedy....
  16. Jack up each side and spin the wheels, if its' a bearing it will sound rough....compare it with the opposite side check both for side 'play' when rocking each wheel.....
  17. Glad you found it was the same problem and not the ECU. Mine has been OK since..... :)
  18. Navman for me, found it works better with the antenna booster in my LS 'cos I have it low down out of sight.
  19. Problem with intermittent failure to lock although unlock works OK. Bit the bullet today and stripped the drivers door lock out. fault traced to a small switch and an LED clipped to the lock barrel. This looks a bit flimsy when first seen but is nicely made with silver contacts inside although small. As the key is turned left or right the switch contacts turn to connect the appropriate side for lock and unlock. Full of dirt and worn. [although it could have been cleaned and adjusted if desperate] I had already obtained a spare [which I had already cleaned] from a scrap car... fitted it ......problem fixed! Bad points, struggle getting at the short harness for the switch etc.,clipped behind the window channel. Getting the door trim back on, its tight. Job needs two people at times. Hope this some help. :duh:
  20. Unless you are good at soldering and removing the instrument panel is needed, Chris Vince gets well recommended.......some one will give his number or he may come on the LOC himself cheers
  21. Look on ebay, there is a guy breaking a '93. [along with a lot of other makes] I have had stuff for my '94 from here, was good service It's in Leicester
  22. If it has been unused through the winter, check for seized wheel cylinders and 'handbrake' stuck.
