It’s dropped down to 3.7 now. I have a spreadsheet to calculate my battery drain per mile. On my first journey of 19 miles I used 15% of battery or 1.27 miles per %. AirCon wipers on etc. A bit OCD I know but I kept a log of all my mpg and I thought I would monitor the battery and range to try and get an accurate predicted range. The spreadsheet can also be used to calculate charge efficiency. E.g. Battery charge % gain per hour. Attached is a copy of my spreadsheet if anyone want to use it. Put your values in the green cells. Copy the calculations in the red. The charge calculation rate only has test data in at the moment. Paul UX Charge Calculator.xlsx

Interesting point about the tires. I have only had it a few weeks as it was used but has 13000 (exactly) miles on it. They look good but I suspect the fronts have been changed by the garage (although no entry on the maintenance log). The front have ZP after the tyre description Michelin Primacy 3 ZP, whereas the rears don't. I believe they only last 10k miles or so.

Hi Sorry if this has been covered before. What miles per KWh are we getting in our UX300e. Mine was showing 2.9 when I got it but the sales team who drove it before drove it like they stole it. Now I am getting 3.8 to 4.0. Can anyone beat that…. Does anyone take any notice of the EV coaching score? Thanks Paul

I have just noticed some small lights in the front bumper by the fog lights but pointing sideways. Anyone know what these are for? Or are they cameras? I seem to be Experiencing Amazing Thanks Paul

I believe the new model only comes with dark headlining, even the rich cream. This was a concern for me, but it doesn't feel dark inside even with the sunroof (moon roof) sunblind closed.

Best paint protection.

My IS had Gen3 Glasscoat. 8 years later it still looked shiny. Always used the Gen3 shampoo and two bucket method. Got Gen3 again on the UX. Wifes car has Diamondbrite but not had it long enough to compare yet. -
Mine is white ash inside. Hopefully can keep it clean. No kids or dogs allowed. I had it glass coated so it should be easier to clean. No doubt I will be finding out how all the toys work. So far, I like the head up display, blind spot monitoring and hold feature for stop start traffic. Plus the ML stereo is ok🙃

Hi, I am just popping over from the IS300 forum as I am now the proud owner of a one year old UX300e Takumi in Terrance Khaki. Loving the car so far. Thanks Paul

IS300h models and specs 2013-2019
PaulWhitt20 replied to Ahsan123's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
The pre facelift had front and rear sensors as well as a static rear camera. Are the sensors disabled. No green light on dash. -

Some have shark fin antenna and some don't. I think this may be the difference between standard satnav and premium. Premium Satnav also has the "Mouse" controller. I was happy with the Advance spec. It ticked my boxes and was a great compromise over comfort and style. -

I have a 2015 Advance (until tomorrow) Spec includes: Heated/cooled leather seats - very nice Satnav - rubbish Standard radio - the one Linas hates - but is ok for thrash metal! 17inch wheels - reasonable ride quality Reversing Camera - very useful Front and rear parking sensors - also very useful Traditional Dials dash - not LFA style Split folding rear seat - SE spec does not have folding seats My Average MPG is about 45 around town, can get it up to 50 on motorways (at 70 mph). -
Some good deals on UX300e at the moment

Car goes in for MOT with MIL light on, MOT fail Plug in laptop/phone and reset fault code. Redo MOT and it passes. We had a Golf that had the MIL light on but drove normally. You could reset the light and then it would come on again after a few miles. You need to know what the error code is to decide if it is serious or not.

Oh, goody, another "Lets bash EVs thread"

Mine does this also. Don’t think it is anything to worry about.

Hi, I used the Toyota dealer to look at the binding brakes as it was nearer than the Lexus garage and didn't want to drive 40 miles with the brakes sticking. Cost £60. So if that is Toyota hourly rate, a lot cheaper than the Lexus hourly rate. Not sure how the Relax warranty would work if it was a Toyota stamp in the service book. May be worth checking. But I did have a survey from Lexus a while back asking opinions on using Toyota for servicing, so this may be something they are looking at for the future. Makes me wonder, I usually use Lexus Chester who are twinned with Skoda and they take the Lexus cars to the Skoda workshop!

The speed limit in my residential cul-de-sac with no pavement is 30 MPH, but I would neve dream of driving at 30 mph down it. Far to many cars reversing into/out of driveways, people walking, kids playing, cats and dogs roaming and I wouldn't want to damage my nice Lexus by hitting someone/thing. We have to remember speed limits are limits not a target. How about we abolish all speed limits and make the driver responsible for travelling at a safe speed so they can stop in the distance they can see to be clear.

Which electric cars are IS 300h owners buying?
PaulWhitt20 replied to mhult's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Well I’d like an electric IS, I like the idea of an EV and it would suit my driving needs 90 % of the time. But am not keen on the SUV designs. It would have to be reliable, well built and reasonably priced. I am tempted by the UX but I could only see it as a short term car for a few years. I don’t think I could fall in love with it. Not sure I could bring myself to part ex the IS for one. So I’ll stick with my IS until Lexus or Honda do an EV saloon or hatchback for sensible money. It may be a while. -
Delayed delivery
PaulWhitt20 replied to David Williamson's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h Club
It makes it very difficult to plan ahead if you order a car for delivery some time in the distant future. Will you still want the same car a year or so down the line, what happens if they change the spec or the colour you ordered is no longer available? Will the finance deal be honored? Then if you are on a fixed term contract with your current car what happens when that finishes and the new car is not ready. I wonder if we are seeing the start of a new way to buy cars where you look at dealer stock all over the country and try and find the spec that matches your requirements the best and buy from what is currently available and don’t buy brand new. -
2019 IS300H No Electrics.
PaulWhitt20 replied to colabora962's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Sounds like a new 12v battery is required. They are smaller than a normal car battery so are prone to going flat if the car is ignored for a week or so. Contact you Lexus dealer as the 12v batteries are not an off the shelf item from halfords. -
Cancel and buy BMW / Audi
PaulWhitt20 replied to Scotlex's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h Club
Have you looked on AutoTrader? There are some nearly new or new NX450s on there if you are not fussy on spec and colour. E.g. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202304086095115?advertising-location=at_cars&include-delivery-option=on&make=Lexus&model=NX 450h%2B&postcode=CW100HR&sort=relevance&year-from=new&fromsra -

I guess if you want to blend in with the crowd and be yet another BMW/Mercedes/Audi driver you can. But good things come to those that wait. -
