  1. Yes, mine auto lock when underway. Not sure if it's after a certain time or when a certain speed has been reached. I don't know how to activate this feature sorry. I'd have thought it would be in the manual, don't have mine to hand at the mo.
  2. Hi Nikki. Not sure what you mean ? All my doors auto lock once underway on a journey, all lock from the fob and from the handle sensor, also all re-lock if I unlock the vehicle but don't enter it. Or is it something different you're referring to ?
  3. Haven't a clue what one looks like. It's unsurprising that you're a "Club Post Guru".....I'll have to start posting four at a time . Seriously though, do you have a pic ?
  4. I'd install the standard ashtray and use it as a coin holder with 12v supply .
  5. Welcome Brian. I had four Saabs before coming to Lexus. On my third Lexus now. Hope you get on well with your new Lexus.
  6. Point taken, Is the cheaper option the most economical though ? I buy quality products for my home (not the most expensive, but best value) and they last.
  7. This thread prompted me to take a look on eBay as I don't like the finish on my security wheel nuts. They are dull compared to the other chrome nuts. I didn't find anything suitable......I'd have posted a link if I found something suitable.
  8. I have a Lexus warranty in place, so don't have a choice. My vehicle has fully stamped Lexus history and is four years old (all done by previous owner). If I pay £100 or so more than an independent for servicing at this stage, with the history of the vehicle I'm positive I'll get that back at resale. It becomes less recoverable as the vehicle gets older.....however, I'd wager £500 more for an 8 year old vehicle with FLSH over an Indy serviced one....I reckon I could sell that . Assuming mileage and condition is in keeping with age of vehicle of course.
  9. This forum is missing a "Don't Like" button.
  10. I used the handbook too. Alternatively, see if you can find a young teenager, I'm positive they'd solve the problem intuitively .
  11. Congrats on your purchase Chris. Yes, the initial perception is that the vehicle is huge, in fact not a lot wider or longer than my old IS250C, just feels it because of its sheer volume. You get used to it very quickly. Is yours the Gen3 like mine ? The Gen4 is a bit longer I believe. Enjoy your new motor, I'm really enjoying mine, Gen4 on the horizon in a couple of years time methinks.
  12. "Addicted to Modification" says it all Robb. The majority of people aren't.
  13. I had two IS250s over 3 years prior to my RX. I found mid twenties mpg around town and mid thirties on a run and I don't drive as if I've stolen the vehicle, more like Miss Daisy. The fuel penalty can more than offset the problems you are statistically likely to encounter running the 220d. Just my opinion. If you don't do many miles, the IS250 will definitely be favourite.
  14. Constant pushing of it.....tedious !!! That's all.
  15. Research the 220d thoroughly on this forum before you make a purchase. My advice would be to find an IS250 instead.
  16. I'm sure you'll find better Clive. My advice is be prepared to travel. My RX was local at only 120 miles away !
  17. The Autoglass fitter pointed out the markings on the screen for setting the wipers...it's so very easy. Here is my thread about my damaged screen. It may reassure you...hope so !
  18. Great looking Saab. I had 4 Saabs before joining the Lexus club. Two 9-5s and two 9-3 Aeros including a 57 plate convertible. Had two IS250s, including a convertible, before my present RX. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
  19. Thanks for the heads up Paul. Mine's due in for service in October, I'll get the steering bits checked then.
  20. I used to contribute to this forum a lot more when there was sensible discussion and debate, I think others did too (I'm sure some are missing of late?). I also enjoyed it a lot more too before this style of posting became prevalent on numerous threads. I have respect for the regular contributors with sound knowledge and good advice. I've kept this post polite and impersonal.....I'm sure you guys can read between the lines (was tempting to insert a deliberate typo there).
  21. Nice eight wheeler James.
  22. Yes, looks nice, not OTT. Always makes me laugh when auto-correct creeps in on a professional looking page. They invite you to check out the "Vessel" website .
