  1. Are you sure you have the correct registration number? Edit. Found it on Autotrader. Don't know why the reg doesn't show on the MOT site. Possible dubious letter and number combination.
  2. Should I do my service early?

  3. Original Mini, Ford Cortina Mk 3, Vauxhall Firenza, Renault Feugo vitesse, Fiat Regatta, Austin Princess, Austin Allegro :vomit: Honda 125 Superdream, Yamaha 535 Virago, Kawasaki 750 GT, Vauxhall Carlton x 2, Fiat Punto Active ( my fave ) Fiat Seicento, Vauxhall Vectra B and a C, Alfa Romeo 159 Lusso.
  4. Read this, right at the bottom of the article, love the bit where it says "The launch of the new model-year has long been coordinated to the launch of the traditional new television season" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model_year
  5. I'm thinking of ordering spark plugs so it's easy to check the part numbers. Cheers John👍
  6. Very impressed with the prices on this site, very unimpressed at the silly inflated prices we have to pay in the UK. When searching for parts you get the national flags next to some of the car makes, and some of the parts. It shows the American, Canadian or European flag, meaning the part is for a car in that part of the world. My question is: Does it make any difference if I order some spark plugs, that they show they are for the American/Canadian market?
  7. Hill holder refusing to let go? I had a similar issue with my Alfa. I parked on a hill facing up, when I went to roll the car down the hill to set off forward I couldn't get the hill holder to deactivate.
  8. Interesting post here, don't know if they really got to the bottom of the issue. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/64018-check-vsc/
  9. Just looked up the price of "normal plugs" from ECP. Over £18 per plug
  10. Joseph, Could you get a new key cut at your local shop, full steel key and use the shell on the keys fob to open the car. If you could the transponders signal would be read by the car while attached to the key ring. It's just a suggestion, I don't know what your key is like, mine is a proximity fob.
  11. Dave, Mr. Ellis has gone to the trouble of making the video, I would think with the dealerships blessing, bearing in mind he mention them and has his badge in full view, because of a wild idea that came to him one night after a beer? I don't think so. I would argue that the video was made in response to a perceived problem that he explained in the video. I don't think it matters whether the keys are junk or they get mistreated, there seems to be an issue. As for your anecdotal account Dave I don't think that is relevant.
  12. See post 4, Lexus dealership seems to think they have a key issue, enough to have posted a video.
  13. Loads of info on YouTube about this issue, in USA it's quite cheap as can be seen by this video to replace the shell. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mx51W2IPSfc
  14. Fair cop guvna', should have maybe used the word "lubricate"
  15. I've just done the wife's car insurance and Privilege came out on top with me, but could not get on their site, ended up with Churchill. Privilege must be the favourite insurer at the moment. It was LV for the last few years, Esure before that and Swift several more years ago. Don't be in a hurry to make a decision you may regret
  16. Firstly, you need to talk to Mike (Bluesman) I think he's the expert on LPG. Secondly, how did you transport gas, under pressure, from the petrol station to your car? Third, look up the OBD code on YouTube, a feast of knowledge is to be had. Good luck.
  17. "With a suitable grease for the surface you encounter" I would prefer to see the issue before recommending a specific lubricant.
