  1. One was hanging off as he pulled onto the drive, another got wrapped in his alloys some days later and the rest were pulled of by him with a colourful language accompaniment. never to be seen again.
  2. I connected mine to the wiper sensor in the headlining. Live when ignition on.
  3. Yes Philip get back in your box like the nice man says. How very dare you offer opinions when all you drive is a "Mini" Lexus. Mini Lexus FFS. PS, I must be one of the bright ones, I know the difference between digits and alphanumeric. I had to open a tin of soup to do my research though.
  4. My neighbour had his brown VW van detailed and had his calipers painted orange along with accents also done in orange. It looked gorgeous except for the rim protectors, guess what colour? They didn't last the week
  5. Try putting a fluorescent dye in the water and then searching for the leak with a UV light.
  6. I think the key words are "may be". Spraying with a releasing fluid ( plus gas, WD40 ) over several days could help with its removal. Didn't realise it was such a big problem, its only like taking a spark plug out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Kr-c8eBl5E
  7. It's a choice, it's a risk, I'll take the risk thank you.
  8. I still have my paper licence and won't be changing it anytime soon. SEE THIS LINK RE CODE. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/driving-licence-check-code-extended-from-72-hours-to-21-days
  9. Hire car code from DVLA, due to paper part of your licence not being issued/used anymore.
  10. Struts good call guys. Replaced them on wife's old Vectra, the boot is unbelievably heavy, you'll been a stout piece of wood to hold it up. Be careful.
  11. Have you examined the offending part? Surely it needs looking at before you do any price searching. Loose connection, bad connection, needs lubrication, water ingress......et al.
  12. Where the wiper stalk/switch shows the different speeds you can select, at the very top, next to the fastest speed marking there should be the word AUTO, if you have that facility. I would expect all Lexus to have that capability.
  13. Our old Vectra 2003 plate, given to our son a few years ago, has just done 110,000 miles. Its been a cracking car, but it's been well looked after by me while we had it, and surprisingly by me while the sons had it maintainance, maintainance, maintainance, as with all cars.
