  1. Gold DHP but in Belfast https://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/1998-lexus-ls400-beautiful-condition-service-history-mot-low-miles-superb-reluctant-sale-bargain/1273233359?utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_ios&utm_medium=social&utm_source=ios_social
  2. But still, those items are potentials for any V8 barge? I'll ignore the PH comments for now, but may have to wade in after a couple of glasses of Malbec :) "....and ANOTHER thing!...." <hic>
  3. Gents im looking to get a local garage to replace the inner and outer tierods on my mk4 ls400. Are aftermarket parts ok for this purpose? I could supply them genuine Lexus parts, however with my cynical hat on, there's no guarantee they will fit the parts I supply, and I'm unlikely to get underneath to check what's been fitted. TIA
  4. Lots of positive feedback, although some 'nay-sayers' to start with, mentioning brave pills etc? I get the 'character' comment, but not the brave pill prescription
  5. Looks like the ‘old Baz’ car that was on C&C a few months ago. Pretty sure it was last listed then for 3k
  6. It's strange as the engine on my ls400 is more vocal when accelerating than the Audi s8 D2 it replaced. One of the reasons I've kept the LS.
  7. I'd never heard of a Century before, what a fantastic thing! What did the v12 come out of? I can't recall any Toyotas with a v12.

  9. Same as me, slowly grew on me. Lovely looking car Rock On, and it shows good examples are sought after for someone to travel that distance.
  10. Can anyone confirm the correct fluid for the mk4 transmission ?
  11. Maybe one of your pulleys is at fault. E.g. Does it stop if you switch air con off?
  12. Probably not enough to worry about - buy on condition and history
  13. This one doesn't look too bad? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201708258687669?atmobcid=soc4
  14. I've been using the link below for parts numbers/diagrams for my 89 Merc for just over a year or so, to avoid using the official Mercedes EPC route which can be a bit flaky in use. I see Lexus is also listed, which is nice; a few other manufacturers have been added recently too. https://7zap.com/en/ Hopefully of some use
  15. UCF number stamped on the bulkhead/firewall IIRC? Open the bonnet and look at the metalwork under the screen
  16. Forgot to add, the Soft99 i use has a very strong chemical smell to it - the Mrs was not amused when i washed the applicator in the washing machine, it stunk for days afterwards :)
  17. The Bilt Hamber Double speed wax is good value as you get the applicator and the buffing cloth with it. Plus it's UK made, so helps the economy. Wouldn't say it's far behind the Soft99 stuff in terms of longevity, if at all.
