Go for the 7.5A but put an even lower one in your piggyback fuse holder. You're only feeding a camera and it'll draw next to nothing.

Not really fair at all if you have no other choice but to drive. Maybe you don't live on a bus route or even if you do it may be a restricted service. Everybody should pay for everything to keep it fair. My wife and I didn't want kids but part of our government/council taxes still get allocated to the education sector to go towards educating other peoples offspring. We've thankfully never needed to call on the fire service but we still pay for it etc., etc.

So £460 and still no tensioners/pulleys. I paid the same amount for everything, including 10L Toyota Super Long Life Pink coolant, tensioners and pulleys, at my local trusted indy place.

When the engine is running and the alternator spinning, you should get in the region of 14V at the battery. Then you need to switch on the headlamps, the heated rear screen etc., etc to see how much that figure drops, if at all, under load.

It's the right thing to do as you'll see from the chart below. Have you checked that the alternator is actually working though? Putting a voltmeter on the battery terminals with the engine running should give you a reading in the region of 14V, otherwise your new battery may be going the same way as the old one quite soon.

Do you play tracks in order or randomly? I have a few hundred songs on my USB flash drive and the system is set to random play. However, in the 100 mile drive from here to my mother in law's, I noticed that some songs played two or three times whilst others didn't play at all. I did some digging around and discovered that 'random' play doesn't mean play all songs in a random order before repeating any of them - the system could 'randomly' play the same song five or more consecutive times before randomly moving to a different one.

It's always been every 10,00 miles or 1 year, whichever comes soonest, and that's with most cars I think, not just Lexus. I've just had the 50k service done even though the car has less than 42k on it.

We need to see photos of the beast 😊 I had an RX300 before my current RX450h but may be able to shed some light. 1) I may be wrong but I think the latest disc you could get would be about 2011 which is way out of date anyway. Even if you could get a 2018 disc the inbuilt navigation system is clunky and difficult to use at the best of times, so I only used it as a rolling screensaver on my RX300, much preferring to use my TomTom or my phone for navigation - a lot less frustrating and far better. To be honest, I still don't use the integrated satnav even now in my RX450h. It's much newer but still clunky and not a patch on a standalone satnav like the TomTom. Having said that, even my TT is now being used less since I discovered an app for the phone called What3Words. The app is free to download and use and it's very easy and extremely accurate. The whole world has been divided up into 3 metre x 3 metre blocks and each block has a 3 word identity, such as 'Frog.Paper.Beer' or 'Box.Switch.Bus'. Once you've got the three word address from the app you just export it into Google Maps, Waze, or whatever your favourite mapping program is and away you go. It's so accurate that the front door of your house has a different 3 word address to your back door. 2). You definitely should be able to download your phone directory but I do remember it being rather fiddly and needing to follow the instructions in the car's owner's manual to the letter. 3)There are two 12V connectors - one at floor level between driver and passenger seats and the more normal one on the centre console/dash (cigarette lighter). If the FM adapter can be 'set and forget' then I'd use the lower one or if it needs constant adjustment you'll need to use the cigarette lighter one. We don't smoke so I converted the dashboard one to USB sockets for phone charging etc. You should have the cigarette lighter in the same position as you can see my USB sockets so if the FM adapter needs adjusting frequently I'd be putting it there.

@Madartsoft Here you go Sylvester, the wiring diagram is below. With the ignition off, the permanent 12V feed to Pin 30 of Relay 1 is normally connected to Pin 87A so it can't go anywhere. When you switch the ignition on the 12V supply from the EFI fuse goes to Pin 85 of Relay 1, energises its coil and pulls the contact from Pin 87A to Pin 87, thereby providing a path for the ignition-switched supply to get to Pin 30 of Relay 2. Because Relay 2 is off, this supply goes through the normally closed contacts from Pin 30 to Pin 87A and provides power to the DRLs. This part of the circuit ensures that the DRLs are only on when the ignition is on. The second part of the circuit makes sure that the DRLs switch off when the side/tail lights are switched on, making sure that no one is dazzled by the very bright LEDs at night. It does this by tapping into the +ve feed to the sidelights and connecting it to Pin 85 (coil) of Relay 2. When you switch the sidelights on, the coil of Relay 2 energises and switches the incoming ignition-switched supply on Pin 30 away from Pin 87A and to Pin 87, thereby breaking the connection to the DRLs and switching them off. Hope that helps

Then that is very much the exception that proves the rule 😐 As a BT telephone engineer I've worked in almost every main dealer within 30 miles of where I'm based and never seen a single one with their own body shop before.

I can't remember the exact fuse numbers but I do remember it was an EFI fuse and remember, this was on an RX300 - the 400h may be different. You may be able to tell from this photo which fuses I used. If you need a wiring diagram for the two relays I'll draw one out for you, just let me know:

Well, that's obviously not good but if it were me I'd probably let it go. If they're playing tricks like this now, imagine how it would go if you needed to claim off the warranty. There's plenty of good examples around but, even if you have to wait a bit or travel (we travelled just over 200 miles for ours) it may be better in the long run.

They absolutely can be converted to LPG. We had ours done within a month of buying the car and it was absolutely excellent.

No, it's perfectly ok to jump start. Like I said above, there's even a dedicated jump start terminal in the engine bay fusebox and all you're doing is providing another 12V source, just like the one that's already there but with more 'oomph' in it. Have a read of this topic:
