  1. It is actually possible to put the wrong drive side on for your car, and the aerodynamics will be backwards and will cause noise. See this from the Denso how to fit PDF for flat blades: the hybrids will be much the same as they do have different front facing surfaces compared to their back, and why they have L and R verisons of the things.
  2. Thank you for posting those. Will be picking up a spare set. Yes sorry meant 18", don't know why I wrote 14", even did the metric conversion right to ~45cm, D'Oh! The L and R seems to be for left hand drive and right hand drive versions. Although some online UK dealers are selling the L verison here in the UK, go figure 🤷‍♂️
  3. Did you happen to catch the Denso part number on the box? The 26" ones should be DUR-065 (followed by either an L or R) 14" DUR-045 (L R?) Thanks
  4. Not a 430, but you can see on this infamous 400 (aka Sumo) common drainage problems and how he addressed them.
  5. Also, has the windshield been replaced? Common problem there. One last thought, drainage pipe (rubber) from sunroof, is old enough to either be clogged or spring a leak from old rubber.
  6. I ordered before June 1st '21 and picked up end of June. I was under the impression, from the dealer, that it was 3 years. Thanks for posting., it's quite clear in black and white that it's order date rather than pickup.
  7. Was surprised to read that the pruis won't be sold in the UK, now that there's a version that isn't dog ugly and has some decent HP. Only 536 registered the whole of last year. So the UK has become more SUV obsessed than the US now?!
  8. The F150, with no bed load and in RWD mode would do the same 🔁 Done it by accident in a rented Hertz corvette leaving their lot at a 90 degree turn and an over enthusiastic right foot, with TC on! Wouldn't recommend either, both sphincter tightening, especially in a 2.6 ton pickup that feels like it's on stilts.
  9. By under a meter worse, yes. Your GS 10.8m vs ES 11.4m turning circles. Haven't had much trouble with it myself, but I'm used to bigger and much worse: 14.4m on a 5.95m long F150. Now that was troublesome! This one's a doddle by comparison and not much worse than my MY18 Civic which had an 11m circle. Excellent visibility makes it a pretty easy parallel park, which I do daily, without the 360 degree camera option..
  10. Parked indoors or outside? I'm still on my original OEMs that came with the car, stil silent. I assume the indoor parking makes a difference on longevity and the washer fluid that contains glycerin may also.
  11. Looks like it still may come with a cat: https://jalopnik.com/the-2023-toyota-prius-can-be-ordered-with-a-catalytic-c-1849910685
  12. I assume since your car is a 22 that the wash in there is the factory/dealer fill still, right? Had the same problem, their fill is worse than useless at zero. Reported it to my dealer, clearly Lexus haven't gotten the message. Especially with our large volume reservoirs, I think it should always be winter mix.
  13. We've had snow and ice here. Down to -5C. Steep incline to get out of garage. ES hasn't had any problems whatsoever because I ditched the factory fitted summer tyres! P.S. it's our only car, so the daily driver, and we have a 56mile round trip commute.
  14. My guess, water from the roof leak got to them and they're never going to dry out when they're rolled up in a tight cylinder. You need to pull them out all the way to let them dry out properly.
  15. Out of curiosity. Mesotheliomas are typically asbestos related. Is yours?
  16. Very sorry to hear it. Wish you well
  17. Brilliant stuff. You've had a Honda, haven't you? My tube got lost in the move, where'd you buy the stuff here in the UK from? Had mine from the states and was much cheaper than what I'm finding online. Cheapest tube is 18.50 from cox motor parts, more than double US prices.
  18. Kind of back on topic. Prices coming back up again. Witnessed a guy in a red 8th gen civic type R yesterday drive onto the forecourt with both plates concealed with tape. Filled up and just as security was about to get to him, he jumped in and screeched off without paying. He had to mount a kerb to get past my car parked at the filler in front of him. Thankfully, both myself and car unscathed.
  19. Best wishes to both of you. Good luck, hope you get a clean bill of health.
  20. RC 4,710 mm L x 1,845 mm W x 1,390 mm H ES 4,975 mm L x 1,865 mm W x 1,445 mm H looks like length is the major difference 26.4cm according to google as width is only 2cm worth of difference
  21. I wouldn't worry too much about the size in either dimension. I've driven narrow, winding and tight and it just isn't a problem. A short test drive may have you anxious, but you quickly get used to it, and I mean in a day or two tops. Visibility is excellent, and electronic aides make it easier (I don't have the 360 cameras). You will stick out lengthwise in some shorter spots but 10cm isn't going to fix that, closer to 40cm as it's just an inch shy of 5m long. I will admit that I've driven larger and wider on smaller streets, so I do have some prior experience which may have helped me adapt quickly to the ES.
  22. Sorry to hear about the mobility issues. @Herbie If you're still looking for bungalows, let me know. I know of a couple of new build in Lancashire. About 15 minutes east of Preston. Good builder, we're waiting on our build to complete. Bungalows at 275k.
  23. Oh it's was a big difference at the time, felt tomb quiet inside, but I was comparing to a woefully loud hyundai I was driving at the time! Wonder if anyone has done a side by side comparison. Auto decibel only goes back so far: https://www.auto-decibel-db.com/desktop.html
  24. Yes, you're right laminated, 2 glass layers with a middle PVB layer for sound deadening. Although the LS has the same (front and back, instead of just front) and so does the merc S class according to the AAA. Last merc I saw with true double glazing (air gap) was in the late 90's (the tank aka W140), which is confirmed by the linked table, as it only had rear laminated windows, and we know it had the famous glass gapped side ones. Otherwise LSs and S class mercs all switched to side laminated with PVB some 20 years ago, at least according to AAA.
