  1. Hi folks, I haven't posted any progress on the ISupra conversion in a long while as the car has been away for the last 4 agonising months to get a custom bumper made to accomodate the intercooler and I also got some carbon bits made up too. I now have.... carbon side splitter sections on the front bumper carbon skirts (visage skirts remoulded in carbon with the rear vents blanked off) TRD rear skirt covered in carbon. I am still waiting on my rear spoiler being finished which is the TRD lip spoiler but it has been modified and is also being done in carbon. The headlight eyebrows will soon be carbon too. What yous think??? the pics are a bit dull due to it getting dark when I got round to taking them.
  2. mmmmm.... carbon seats ! Mine has been away for about 3-4 months now getting the body work sorted. Yeah it has dragged out and took far longer than it was supposed to but the guy knows what he's doing and wants to do it right. Anyway I should be seeing it later and maybe even picking it up if I'm lucky but I will get a few snaps and revive my thread asap. Good luck with the weight saving though, keep us posted.
  3. I know that the sound deadening can be quite a dense material but the question is whether there is enough of it in the car to make a real difference. Then again I suppose every little bit counts when weight saving. The rear seats and door cards could go if you have no need for extra seats. The heaviest part of the whole lot though is prob the 2 front seats as they have the electric machanisms and air bags etc etc. If your strapped for cash you could sell the full interior and buy a couple of light weight racing buckets. Only the fact that I have to drive my car as an everyday car for a while is stopping me doing this to my own right now.
  4. Looking very smart Elliot, I like it. How you finding the turbo then? any more vids at all??
  5. I'm sure Mr Singh can as that's his car LOL.
  6. superchargers now cost £4000 + due to the fact you can only purchase them from TTE which they will only sell with the uprated ecu as far as i know prolex brought the remaining stocks of them and sold them all, unless TDI have some remaining in there stores, they are all gone ! hence why the price of second hand ones are steadily rising 4K+!!!!!! thats crazy :shutit: . Didn't realise TTE were selling them for that much Barrie. If spending that amount then I would suggest looking into fitting a turbo. Costs slightly more than that but is much better IMO.
  7. SCer's don't cost 4k. They never have as far as I remember. Pro-lex were selling them for £1750 I think but they are all gone last I heard. I wouldn't see any problem with buying it second hand either so long as there isn't huge mileage on it.
  8. you can use a black wire that enters the speedo cluster.
  9. Damn it I can't here it on this PC but I will have another look later, but then I know how it sounds anyway LOL. Glad you got it running mate you should be well pleased!!!!
  10. It will be on the gearbox near the back beside the prop shaft. should be a 3 wire plug at a guess.
  11. standard IS200 injectors are 240cc! Dunno bout the IS300 but the IS300 injectors won't fit the IS200 if thats what you were getting at.
  12. Yeah I'm getting the visage skirts that I bought from Marcus done in carbon along with the TRD rear skirt and lip spoiler and a carbon splitter on the new bumper. I have a pic here of the bumper in progress but it is very messy looking and a bit of a frankenstien job between the standard IS bumper, and evo 5 bumper, a merc clk bumper and a 300zx bumper LOL I would rather wait until it all comes together a bit more before posting pics as it look terrible at the minute.
  13. Thanks again for the comments guys!! The car is still away getting a new custom bumper. The progress with this is very slow due to other jobs but I know it will be worth it in the end. I am told the bumper and carbon bits should be finished by the end of this week but I will believe it when I see it. Chris Gaw who is doing the stuff for me is good at what he does though so I know it is in good hands. I am going later today to have another look at the progress so I might get a few quick pics to give you guys a rough idea of what it will look like. As I said before it still needs painted and mapped after that so I would guess another few weeks would see the car on the road all being well.
  14. Don't reckon it would look that hot on a plat ice IS. Maybe ok on granite sky or black etc but not sure about silver and white together.
  15. As far as I know, all IS200's haven the same diff ratio. Obviously the manual and auto will have different gear ratios but other than that they are the same. The IS300 has a different diff ratio which gives higher top end speed. I am on the look out for one of these.
  16. Yeah I've seen a few pics of Jamie's car it is proper nice. I think it was in banzai or JP in the readers cars section last month. Although that sounds like it was done on the road, but I am sure it's just me hearing things....lol
  17. Indeed Aido, One of if not, thee, nicest IS in Ireland. That is until mine is finished LOL
  18. 1. Granite sky 2. Damietta quartz 3. Platinum Ice
  19. Wouldn't have thought that Rays/Volk wheels would allow this to happen to their wheels. Even if it is a natural reaction as you say Barrie, it shouldn't happen. I know the price of these wheels and they aren't cheap. You would expect them to stay looking good inside and out.
  20. The car is away getting a new bumper made at the minute and some nice carbon bits too. I will get some progress pics soon then it's finally mapping time!!!
  21. Glad to see this thing finally sorted in the end mate. don't forget about posting some nice vids when you can!!
  22. Looks like you haven't long to wait now Elliot. When I refitted my bumper I removed the plastic number plate holder and stuck the plate straight onto the bumper. It left the front of the car looking very clean and smooth. There were no issues with lack of airflow to the cooler at all. My air inlet temps were reading about 20-21 degrees which I was told is a very good reading!!
  23. Played this on my brothers 360 at the weekend and he has just bought a 50" HD LCD!! The game is absolutely outstanding and the quality of the graphics is amazing with the big HD tv. Needless to say I was down the shops the next day having a nosey at some new TV's and xbox packages LOL. I will have to get one eventually.......
  24. can't remember off hand what the dimensions are. I know it is 3" thick and I think the length and height are about 600mm x 300mm. That should be for the core size. Elliot I think the dimensions are written on the delivery docket I sent you for the intercooler????
  25. I wouldn't have thought the standard wheels would fit over the 4 pots as they are a tight fit with the standard calipers. I fitted the 4 pots from the LS400 that Mat sold me and my OZ superleggeras just about go on with about 1mm or less of a gap between calipers and wheel spokes.
