  2. I was wondering if anybody has a Nebula Grey 2IS with the smoked VLAND taillights, either the V1 or V2. I am looking to purchase a pair and was wondering what how they would look with the grey. (picture for reference) Thanks! IMG_7077.heic

  4. Not seen anything official, until then a pinch of salt and all that, but if this is indeed the case and they could have done this via software only all along, good grief...
  5. Met with a work colleague today - he has the NX450h+ Takumi - biggest visual difference is in the height probably due to the additional weight of the battery amongst other things.
  6. Must be your style of driving if nothing is wrong with the car. Always have the auto/aircon on, never use cruise control, as above 230 miles 90ish% motorway and dual cariageway, 2 up and fully loaded for holiday... 57mpg. Does drop to the high 40's knocking about.
  7. Sounds like I could do with one of those, as at £296.89 fitted, then at only 2 years old requiring replacement, Toyota AGM batteries dont't seem like a worthwhile choice. Would you be so kind to share the exact model / specification of the Yuasa so I can look into possibly doing the same? 👍 I have Yuasa's fitted in my house alarm and as you mention my first went for 6 years no issues before requiring replacement.
  8. Hi Charlie, I replaced my rad just a few weeks ago with a proper Lexus product having been advised by my mechanic that other 'less expensive' options (eg. starline, even nissens) may not be a proper fit & sometimes have to be adapted, however slightly. There's also the ongoing warranty issue. Don't forget that old saying "if you buy cheap you buy twice" so if your car's a 'keeper' and worth looking after then I suggest it's also worth the extra spend on a quality rad. Your choice. 😉
  9. Use a compare tool like this one https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/insurance/car-insurance/ Suprinsingly, my ct only increased by 20% in march. Never ever re-insure with the same insurer without consulting the market. Once you get the best price, contact your current insurer for a price match if you are that loyal/desperate. Tip: sweet spot is about 24 days before your insurance expires.
  10. I’ve had 4 PHEV’s before the RZ and all of the charging flaps were similar. I had 2 Merc’s and they had a common issue where if any force was put on them when open then they broke. As they were at the rear it was easy to brush up against them - when they broke the rear bumper had to be removed and a whole new ‘socket’ was required. On the Merc forum this was a common complaint. The BMW was exactly the same as the RZ. The Ranger Rover Velar’s was more sturdy and more like a ‘petrol flap’ but strangely there was a lever in the car to open the petrol flap but not the charging flap. I have the Takumi with the panoramic glass roof and the switchable shading works well. There is one minor frustration with it - most of the time I want it clear but it defaults to opaque every time you turn the car off. They could easily have an option to select the default - summer opaque, winter, autumn, spring, clear !
  11. Thank you. I will start with a steering lock and butting the front of the car next to a wall on the LHS. Any recommendations on a good steering lock please?
  12. £660 is the standard price for a GS full service (every second year): https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/servicing-and-maintenance/servicing-mot-hybrid-health-check Going two months early is essential costing you an extra £110 (2/12th’s of the service cost)… bargain for a year’s warranty!
  13. Having done the front recently I can confirm there is nothing that needs to be done differently to a non-hybrid vehicle. Honestly save yourself the trouble & money if your handy with a spanner you can do it yourself potentially within a budget of £200. The hardest part is probably loosening the wheel nuts & finding the wheel is stuck to the hub few kicks later & your on yr way to performing a brake job. *Caveat (As long as you don't touch the brake bleed nipple) The rears do require abit of adjustment to the brake shoes to fit the new brake disc on the hub, agajn nothing complex really, this is to ensure the parking brake bites correctly on a hill to pass an MOT without issues.
  14. Does anybody know the factory unlock code for the system? I think the previous owner has set the system to only play 'Universal' certificate DVDs. That setting is protected by a PIN.
  15. Anyone has a stock airbox from an ISF for sale ?
  16. Haha don't worry you didn't. I would have gone ahead with it straight away if it was worth it even though it is hard to fix. But have read people having issues with sound, the integration bot being seamless and occasionally other stuff breaking. Like you said not sure its worth spending that much on a fix that is not 100%. I will see how I get along with phone & Bluetooth, also might try a portable AA/CarPlay Head Unit from Amazon, which is much cheaper than the Chinese units and allows me to save battery on my phone in long journeys.
  17. Thanks for all the info everyone 😊. Confirms what I suspected so I'll stop worrying about it (I've found the best way to do that is take the infographic off the split screen completely which CarPlay does perfectly 👍).
  18. yea I'll bite the bullet and get the new TPMS sensors, probably the ones that Notamech has recommended if it means saving £100 for the same thing. Glad to hear you've had a great experience with Lexus MK, they did offer me the collect & deliver service, a courtesy car or to just drop me off & pick me up from the local shopping centre so I might just drop it off and take a trip round the shopping centre 😄 Ty for this, I'll definitely get it sorted before the MOT runs out but would like to get it through its major service first and keep some money aside incase any issues arise during the service that need sorting. I'll grab a pack of these genuine sensors from Ebay seems like a great deal and our mobile tyre fitter mentioned he could replace them to save a few pennies
  19. Sort of a similar issue, I couldn't listen to the internet radio stations on my phone and have my Dashcam populating my phone app with real-time travel records. (the phone wire connected). Basically I lost the internet radio when the Dashcam was running. I raised this with the Dashcam manufacturer and they pointed out the travel records are held on the devices SD card so I can disconnect the wifi between the Dashcam device and my phone and just reengage when say I have an accident God forbid or when I fancy seeing the recordings at my leisure. Does your satnav work differently?
  20. Nope, that's not just you. Takes me about 10 dips before I get any confidence in the reading
  21. I think all models have the capability they just don't come with the option switched on.
  22. I've managed to obtain another complete harness (even though I've done the fly lead test) I wanted to see whether tech stream still received P3108 - and low and behold it does. I should clarify I've only connected the compressor black connector (6 wires) to the smaller hybrid ECU connector as this was the same one used for the electrical testing featured above. The lexus guidance says that there are 3 potential causes for this issue - harness, compressor or ECU, having now tried all 3, it's clearly something else!
  23. That’s impressive; especially with the motorway miles. I have a similar starting mileage showing at the moment and have found I get more than the suggested level. I’m showing 3.1 miles kw/h now overall which I’m also impressed with.
  24. I take a different view. Take account of the vendors disclosures then extrapolate from those based on your experience of such cars and I think the highest probability outcome is already 'known' statistically. Moreover we now also know that it is a 'fact' that I was blessed with zero imagination.
  25. I only use Shell VPower or Texaco super unleaded in mine. I get around 32mpg combined and if on a long cross country drive, have had 36. The newer direct (&port) injection engine in the RX4 doesn't seem any more economical than the old one. M/Way at a steady 70mph gives me around 32mpg.
  26. When I went up to Heysham to see a SC 430 I took the seller out in mine to show him the effect of the throttle controller as his car did not have this feature. Down the dual carriageway and wallop the ton. Coming back I pass the police car parked up....they heard me gulp in Tokyo. My passenger insisted it had not been there when we came past, but I sweated for a couple of weeks expecting the worst.
  27. I went ps4s and I won’t look back. The traction. Or significant lack off, was not acceptable to me. The difference is night and day. I’m sure the ps4s ZP was also an OEM option at some point too. Carrying a repair kit / slime is not an issue for me.
