  1. Past hour
  2. Doesn’t seem to be available anymore. I’ve been fixated on one for 2 weeks now and I’m planning on hopefully buying it next week, wish me luck 😬. Will definitely come back with an update and pictures when I buy it.
  3. Not yet, going to see one and buy it hopefully by the end of next week. I think I’m obsessed with this car… I’ve already made a list of mods and I don’t even have the car yet lol
  4. Umm! log in to the Lexus Link app before you start the car. What could possibly go wrong?
  5. Today
  6. I think the LBX is much closer to the Yaris Cross, than the RZ and bz4x are together. But I also think Lexus is much better at distinguishing its vehicles from Toyota, despite shared parts & platforms, than others like Audi/VW/Seat/Skoda are.
  7. Just checked my 21 rx450h and no recall needed apparently (had the plates fitted a few weeks ago )
  8. I went to the dealership and they finally found the problem. Long story short, my windshield was replaced, and the shop that did that, made it bad and I had a leakage trough the A pillar. The water made some circuit rust on the left of the dashboard. The current measured before when the car was in sleep mode was 0.154A, now it's 0.05A. About the accessory mode, I'll take some pics and post them in here so you can compare the stats. I also recommend this type of gadget to any hybrid owner:
  9. Does the RZ have a Driver Monitoring System ? Maybe the car thinks you're not paying attention?
  10. Reading 12.6V starting in accessory, dropped to 12.4V in a minute and then stays there for a while, now 12.3V. Battery is 3 years old, changed by mains dealer, don’t remember the make. I’m planning on replacing at year 4 regardless of readings as I learned the hard way what it’s like to be stuck with a dead car - airport park lot, late night, cold and rain, 4 hour wait for roadside as I couldn’t charge it enough to boot the car up.
  11. Cannot get cursor on to the compas symbol to change gps to ‘heading up’
  12. Funny you ask, just got myself set of sensors from ebay, that are not branded and seems like none of them work. I have a theory that they may require some minimum pressure to report at all, but I have just programmed them as second set and they report no pressure, rather than expected 0. They I was able to program them all without issues is kind of already positive, because I know some cheapo supposedly compatible TMPS sensors don't work at all. So I have dilemma now - should I get them fitted and try again, but that means I can't return them and it will cost me like £80 to do 4 tyres, or should I just return them. Short answer - I don't know decent non-OEM brand yet. I may fit them next week and if they work, then for £27 per set, they would be great value... even if they only last 2 years. But until then can't say I could recommend them.
  13. Yes I fully agree with you, this is why if I buy one I will buy it on finances. It will be my second car in replacement of a Mazda 3 that I will sell very shortly. I will keep my RX 4th generation for long journeys
  14. Hey Guys, can anyone recommend any decent quality aftermarket TPSM sensors please? thanks h
  15. Have to say, I think you are right re other canbus access points... We need a smarter software solution to restrict access to the command system - perhaps similar to the multi-stage authentication used in most financial apps.
  16. Still plenty of rain here in Kent yesterday …… BUT it’s all change today …. 1st June …… and the local Classic Car show tomorrow ……. Just thought, should I pop my 91 Ls400 into the fray ……. But not sure I want to be there all day let alone doing all the necessary prep to get her as pristine as I know I should 🤔 I’ll go visit for sure as taking prtnr to help out on the Cats Protection stand for a couple of hours ……… selling moggies ….. NO, I jest of course 🤔 Malc
  17. ABS TRC on, got a IcarsoftTYT OBD reader, sure enough, right rear sensor shows no data. 2nd hand sensor fitted, no difference, old one covered in rusty iron filings (from the reluctor ring cover I believe) Reluctor ring suspiciously shiny on the sticky up teeth, after comparing with the image of a new reluctor ring clearly this one has been worn down, probably by said rusty iron filings. I don't have the knowledge, kit or place to remove the hub. drive shaft and whatever else to get to the reluctor ring to replace it and I can't afford to pay a dealer to do this. Late at night after a beer and a smoke a thought popped up, what if the sensor cant 'see' the ring teeth coz they are worn down somewhat. I measured the distance from the ring teeth to the mounting surface of the sensor at the hub, then calculated the gap between sensor and ring to be about 5mm, too much, so I got the dremel out and removed 3mm from the sensor outer face that is bolted to the hub (not the end of the sensor) including the mounting hole. to allow the sensor to sit closer to the reluctor ring. Bloody 'ell, it works even though the reluctor ring teeth are only about 1mm high now. Result! one happy owner.
  18. Thanks bud, don’t suppose you know a decent brand of TPMS sensors? Not OEM. Thanks
  19. So it’s the likely storage method over time that causes “ new “ old stock to be decrepit when sold 🤔 Makes a lot of sense for sure 👍 Malc
  20. The RZ was late to the party and not as good in several respects as some already there. When models come forth with new battery technology giving much better range and faster charging, it is likely to cause a great drop in the value of the current crop of EVs so not a good time to buy new now I think. I see an extended life for hybrids, whatever governments may say at present and note that Toyota are currently developing a new hybrid engine/drivetrain and the Chinese have already done this. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/cars/news/byd-new-hybrid-cars-ultra-long-2-000-km-range-for-under-14-000/vi-BB1nfKhT?ocid=mailsignout&pc=U591&cvid=57b2f5c915504f74ac30acf24dff6cab&ei=15
  21. hi guys i have a 02 sensor code p155 says bank 2 sensor 1 where is that on the exhaust
  22. Do not forget about the ABS central unit problem the LS460 very often seem to develop. A new revision new one or a new revision used one from a salvage yard seems to be the way forward... A new one installed at dealer will probably cost you at least 1500£ including labor. (Going price right now in USA for a OEM new is 1000$ for the part only. )
