its a little unit that u strap to ur body so that when u are off piste and if there happens to be an avalanche and you get buried then the rescue teams can find you as it sends out pulses, you can also set the unit to recieve so if there is an avalanche you can find people - essential piece of kit, I wont go off piste without one.
