i had never seen one up close - saw one today parked in our Sainsburys car park - its bigger than i thought and it looked very nice - it carries that  "big car" "LS400" aura and i quite liked it even though i,m not a fan of 2 seaters.

I've tried to like it over the years but it's no use........I still think it's plug ugly. And a complete waste of a large wheelbase.

Just sayin'...........

I am totally with you there,i really want to like it but cant get over its whole shape, could have been stunning

I don't see it as a pretty car either.

I'd love to transplant its engine and gearbox into mine though

I much prefer its earlier sister---the Toyota/Lexus Soarer. Have you ever seen one? There's only a handful in Britain. They're fantastic. Best looking Lexus/Toyota ever. And has the LS engine. Even Jeremy Clarkson praises it on Youtube, it's that nice.

There's an SC in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.

'There is an article about Terminator 3 in Lexus Magazine indicating that the actress Kristanna Loken helped pick out the car at a LA dealership and was sad to see it turned into a ball of flame.'

i much prefer the looks of gen1 SC300/400 compared to the 430's but saw one in the flesh at a garage and the interior and seats looks better than an LS430 of the same era to be honest. and the LS430 was meant to be the flagship model at that time. i agree with the article below.

I LOVED my Soarer, back in the day.
